Camo

Discussion of load-bearing equipment, tactical gear, holsters, BDUs, and other gear related to Airsoft.

Postby VogonFord » Mon Mar 21, 2011 11:50 pm

The two colors of green on the Russian Gorka mountaineering gear works surprisingly well in the PacNW. Fragistan has 4 people with it and it works great. We also use OD, woodland and DPM, which are all good standbys, especially OD. OD, woodland and DPM also have the advantage of being very affordable.

MultiCam and MARPAT work fine, they just generally are more expensive and unless you're trying for a sup4h-1337 modern setup you can just go for the others above.

My RAID woodies are my favorite camo to roll in. Plus woodland is just a classic. I don't like when people call it n00b camo.

Tiger stripe camo is actually pretty effective in our area of Oregon.

If your talking about ABUs, then yes, but if you mean Vietnam era Tiger Stripe, then that stuff blends extremely well in the PACNW.

For most games i just use whatever camo fits the scenario , i have used Swiss Liebermuster , German Fleck , French Lizard , US Woodland , ERDL , even tiger Stripe.

I do like to wear tigers from time to time . they do look cool

Although if prior experience is any indication, "that good" of camo for the Army will not be "that good" for long. Besides, Multicam is only currently being issued to units deploying to Afghanistan, and all terrain in the Northwest is NOT like Afghanistan...

Having said that, I would like to point out that Italian Vegetato is the shits.
