Crossdraws, yes or no?

Discussion of load-bearing equipment, tactical gear, holsters, BDUs, and other gear related to Airsoft.

I am a kid so money doesn't really come easy, so I would be getting the Condor/ OE tech clone of that model. Do you know how comfort would vary between the two?

(I can take pictures of my current rig if it would help with anything.)

Uh ya, you wont be as comfortable in something like Condor. Should be fairly obvious.

Eagle makes high quality stuff, Condor is chinese. 'nuff said.

It will function fince though.

I'm looking for something that has MOLLE on the back though.

Check out these.

If you don't have any doubts about Ebay Banned, they have free shipping and an amazing selection for good prices. Better quality than Condor.

Thanks guys for all the help.

I think what I'm tending to see fit my preference more are the CIRAS replicas... Any low-budget ones you guys would suggest?

Get two. :)

But seriously, you could undo the straps on one and then attach it to the other, achieving both High Speed, Low Drag, and MOLLE on the back. For the low price of $35, the only problem is that it is black, not a useful color.

As was previously suggested, go with something like this; http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=4109

Its cheap and you can put a pistol in one of the magazine pouches if you want to. (It stays well)

its airsoft. unless you want the specific gear, you dont need the expensive stuff. condor works fine, ive beaten mine to hell and back and its still holding up. i know guys who have deployed overseas using condor gear. don't buy into the fanboy bullshit. sure, all the name brand real deal stuff is nice as hell, but its anything but necessary. you aren't roping out of a blackhawk into a terrorist's bathroom to toss a hood over his head and cart him off to gitmo, you're hiding behind a piece of plywood shooting plastic BBs at a guy fifty feet away. the $50 clone vest will work just as good as the $500 one it's based on. maybe one day you can save up for that nice piece of kit, but in the mean time spend it on something useful.

Just a tip, if you're looking to get away from bulkiness (which you are), don't get a CIRAS. They have a reputation for being one of the more bulky vests out there.

Also, yes, some Condor is good, then you go talk to the people who's stuff fell apart in a few uses. IMHO that's enough to at least get a Flyye or Pantac vest, but that's only my opinion. ;)

I have the quick release plate carrier from Condor. I treat my gear pretty roughly and it's held up perfectly fine: http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos- ... 4405_n.jpg

The only time I've ever had issues was with a Condor pouch that broke when I was trying to put it on.

This thread is four pages long and I see more than enough suggestions from many of the older/more experienced members on gear, yet you are thinking about a CIRAS, which no one suggested, and which does not come anywhere near the lightness of a HSLD rig or a crossdraw. I think this thread should be done and you should just make your own decision at this point.

Hmm... Fair enough, thank you guys for all your help! I'm definitly going to be looking at the vests/Pc's posted here. I guess this thread can be laid to rest for now, unless there are more suggestions.
