KWA M9 PTP Magazines

Postby Switchback » Fri Feb 11, 2011 10:37 pm

I just got my new baby; a lightly used, well worn KWA M9 PTP, and I am infatuated.
Since I bought it used, I have the newer magazine with the metal baseplate and 2 little screws on that baseplate. I will be purchasing new magazines, but was fervently warned away from the "standard" magazines with the plastic bases.

I then saw these, and they say that they will fit in my M9.

If anyone has had problems with the crappy plastic ones, let me know.
If anyone has used the extended magazines, let me know.
If anyone wants to sell me M9 magazines, check the classified ads, and let me know.

Thank You.

i had an m9 ptp and tried the m93 mags. They didnt lock in place. Could have been cause it wasnt the NS2 model mag but thats my experience with them.

Thank You for the reply, Sir.
To All:
The one I posted is the NS2 magazines. Do you think they would work, being NS2 and fancy like that? Looking at the picture, I would assume it locks into place.

As long as its a KWA mag and is the NS2 system made for the M9 is should work.

Metal and plastic alike, they are both going to have thin slide rails that hold on the bottom plate. If you drop them or some how break one of those slides the plate won't stay on. Makes the mags harder to remove but still function. Not sure if this helps but there you go.

i have a kwa m9 ptp with the extended mag. the mag works great and is way better that the standard because the base plate is well attached. get it itll be way better than the standard ones, only con is that you cant fit them in pistol mag pouches.

I could fit them in my admin pouch's magazine/phone pouch.

Okay. I will most likely try to swing by AONW and pick one up, or go on GI and buy a few. I don't plan on dropping them, but will keep that in mind.
