Well, I tried my drop-leg with a fabric belt and it obviously didn't work. Your best belt would be leather, or something designed for it... Just check out ASGI or AONW for one.

I use a standard surplus pistol belt for mine. My suggestion would be to get an H/Y harness or suspenders of some sort though, it really helps disperse some of the weight and keep them from shifting up and down constantly.

Something like a police duty belt that is very rigid will help it from sagging too much.

so a riggers belt wouldn't work right?,
so the thicker/stiffer the belt, the better?

Riggers belts will work just tighten it up. If you don't want to do that look at the uncle mikes sidekick belt. I use one for everything from holding up my pants to carrying my firestation gear.

I run a riggers belt to hold my pants up and then a molle battle belt to support my subload, in my case I run a dump pouch.

What are you going to be using on your drop legs? The more weight you add on, the more I would lean towards bigger belts. If your just using it for a drop leg holster or something like that, a rigger belt should work just fine.

I'm not exactly a huge UTG fan, but they make relatively cheap tactical gear that seems to work great a lot of the time. I have a couple tac belts, but this is the only one I use on a regular basis. And for $7.09 (as of the time of this posting), who can go wrong?

Well, by looking through this thread: http://www.airsoftpacific.com/viewtopic.php?t=14676
I see mainly riggers belts, padded riggers belts and an occasional molle type battle belt.

I'd also highly recommend any duty belt.

I use a Tactical Tailor duty belt with the belt pad and it's wonderful.

USGI pistol belts work great, and they are cheap.
MARSOC uses an Eagle Industries Battle belt, but you can get away with a USGI pistole belt or riggers belt.

An added note, be careful when carrying a pistol in a fabric dropleg. In my experience, the holster often presses the magazine release and drops the magazine.
