That's really similar to the paint I threw on my M4 just before christmas.

I am kicking myself for being lazy about it though. I should have taken it apart and seperated out some parts for non-paint black contrasts.

Got a new set of rails, Repainted cause I wanted it to all match... and because I enjoy slinging paint.

Sorry about the tiny a$$ phone-pic. My real camera was destroyed by my little boy.

It's Krylon Camo Khaki base, with Camo Tan mottling. Krylons little fan tip deal makes the Tan into little 'stripes' using the vertical setting. Sorta like a 'ghetto' tigerstripe.

I'd like some input though - does it need a dark contrast? Black striped bands perhaps?

Are you going to use it in the forests in Oregon? If so, yes because that is too light. It would work pretty in Afghanistan or eastern Oregon, but not in western Oregon.

Not black bands, Sir. Try to go tigerstripes in OD. You'd have a great look.

It's been hit with "M.C. green" which is a dark green color. Striped on lazily. I like it. Pics shortly. It's not tigerstripe, but I'm pleased.

So - Pic.

Recap: Base Khaki, Tan mottle, Dark Green stripes.
Phone-pic doesn't do it justice at all. But hey, I like it, and that's what counts. =p

Hit it with some krylon. I'm thinking I'm probably going to hit it with some brown and darken it up a bit.

From boring old black
Image

To totally awesome woodland camo, used an evergreen branch thingy for my stencil

I know it's not the greatest but this is my first time spray painting anything. I practiced on some old sportline that never gets used

Did you leave the barrel in too, or just the GB?

I've always been nervous about leaving the GB in when I paint a gun. Did you mask off the air seal nozzle?
