I. REGISTRATION
1. Age Restrictions:
You cannot participate in a Black Sierra Production under the age of 18 without a signed BSP waiver co-signed by your legal guardian containing emergency contact information. The minimum age of participation for BSP events will be determined by BSP event organizers in coordination with event locations.
2. Teams
Team affiliations are not recognized in this event.
Sign-up for the role you want to participate in, and have the gear to meet the gear impression.
Each team will consist of: 12 Players.
Ranger, US Special Forces, NATO Special Forces, US Navy SEALs, MARSOC, or AFSOC
Each Role-Group will have a series of photos of real-world operators from which to build your impression.
-Uniforms should be "sterile". If you don't know what that means, chances are this event isn't for you.
Indigenous Players will also be needed...BADLY!
3. Registration
Online Registration will be available. Put in a request on the game thread.
4. Waivers
Each participant will be required to sign a Black Sierra Waiver at the event. If you are a minor, you will be required to bring a signed copy with emergency contact information by your parent or legal guardian.
II. Schedule & Agenda
Five Scenarios. Each team will start in a different lane, and work each lane.
III. Safety Rules
a. Weapon Safety
1. Treat all "guns" as if they are loaded at all times
2. Do not point your "gun" at anything you do not wish to engage
3. Keep you "gun" on safe until you are on target and prepared to fire.
4. Keep you finger off the trigger until you are on target and prepared to fire.
5. Know what is in front of, and beyond your target before you fire.
b. General Safety
1. Always wear approved safety wear at all times within the designated play area. See section V. Gear Requirements for eye and body protection requirements. Do not remove your eye protection at any time in the designated play area.
2. Do not point your replica at anyone unless you are involved in the event live fire play area and intend to engage them.
3. Do not test fire your replica in the designated "no fire zones". The only acceptable pace to fire will be an admin approved range and during the live fire event play area.
4. All replicas in the safe-zones will be in "safe and hanging mode" while on person, or cleared and safe if not on your person.
5. Identify you targets. Do not fire at people without eye protection, non-participants, admins, staff (orange vest), or animals.
6. No illegal activities
7. No real steel firearms in the field of play.
8. Carry replicas in boxes, bags, or carry cases while transporting them to and from the event.
9. Remove all of your gear and trash from the location when you leave.
10. Be a good sport. This is about having fun. Not about winning and losing.
IV. Velocity Limits
1. Primary Weapon Systems
-Rifles (Centerfire RIFLE calibers) 415 FPS with .20 BB (hard cap limit)
-SMG's (Centerfire PISTOL calibers) 330fps with .20 BB (hard cap limit)
2. Sidearms / GBB Pistols
-All GBB pistols and pistol sidearms must also not exceed 330fps with .20g (hard cap limit)
3. Bolt Action Replicas
-For outdoor/DM 2.8j or 550 with .20g.
V. Gear Requirements
1. Eye Protection
a. Outdoor Mil-Sim/Tac-Sim events: All participants MUST wear ANSI. Z87.1 impact rated eye protection. These must be tightly fitting to the face.
b. Indoor CQB events: All participants MUST wear ANSI Z87.1 impact rated full seal eye protection.
2. Face Protection/Mouth Protection:
-Due to the inherent risks involved with airsoft. It is strongly recommended that full face protection should be worn on the field at all times. Impacts from BB's may damage skin tissue or even fracture dental enamel. A mouthguard is the minimum mouth protection we suggest while participating in any airsoft related activity. Players accept full responsibility and liability for their personal level of protection used while on the field.
3. Clothing
-Uniforms are guidelined by real-world operator photos. This is an IMPRESSION BASED GAME. There are no exceptions to the rule. If a participant can't meet the minimum uniform requirements, that player will not play.
4. Magazines
-BSP Challenge Rule: All weapons will carry the magazine equivilent to their live-weapon counterpart. (30 live, 30 BB etc).
NO-HIGHCAP WINDING MAGS.
5. Dead-Rag
-Is REQUIRED to have on your person, but will not be used during the event.
VI. HITS and OUTS
1. Hits (Players)
Impacts to PLATE CARRIERS/HARD ARMOR will not count as a lethal impact with only ONE BB. If you are shot in multiple succession in the plate, you will fall to the ground and call for assistance from a medic. You will be provided a casualty card prior to stepping off.
.
3. Friendly Fire
-If you are struck by a BB on any portion of your body as a player, although you are all on the same "team" at the beginning, does count as a hit and that player will treat the incident as a standard "hit" and follow the prescribed method Lethal Hits for that event.
.
4. Becoming a Causualty
Your casualty card must be accessible BY THE MEDIC, NOT BY ONLY YOU. You will not be allowed to view your casualty card. If you have lost your casualty card, you will be considered KIA and appropriate measures by your team will be taken.
-Act out your impact. If you shot, make sure to get the Medic's attention. He is also being graded on his skill in "repairing" you.
5. Contact Kills
-Contact Kills are a point black shots, instead of shooting we touch the actor with the muzzle of the AEG or sidearm and yell "CONTACT!". This simulates firing a round, without having to shoot that close.
6. Safety Kills
-Kills that may be employed at extreme close range, with your enemy having his back turned to you. In no other instance is this rule in place.
7. Parlay
-will not be in effect.
VII. Gameplay Mechanics
1. Search and Rescue
2. Hearts and Minds
3. Hasty Traffic Control Point
4. Clandestine OP (Observation)
5. Snatch/Grab High Value Target (HVT)
VIII. DEVICES and PROPS
-The devices used in this event will not put hearing or person at any risk, other than the accepted and typical risks associated with airsofting.
a. Items that WILL be in play:
-Simulated Explosive devices (inert)
-Laser Marker (green req)
-Simulated Mortar Position
-Stretcher/Litters
Ammo
Bio-Ammo Only.
VIIII. Admin Staff and Crew
1. Administrators
-Game administrators will be monitoring your performance and following you around. Act as if they do not exist. Do not talk to them. They will be wearing ORANGE vests. Shooting an Admin may result in expulsion from the event.
2. Camera Crew
-The camera crew for the event will be clearly marked with orange vests. They will post themselves in the best places they can find to get good footage of the event, act as if they do not exist. If they're in the way, move around them. They are using expensive equipment that is easily damaged. Shooting or otherwise damaging the equipment will be the players personal liability in the event player negligence is the culprit.
