29JAN: PSD Training @ TacTac

Where:
When:
Saturday, January 29th, 11am-5pm.

What:
Training in PSD or Private Security Detail. Instruction will be taught by a highly decorated Israeli Special Forces soldier who was in a Counter Terrorism (CT) unit.

CAG MOUT II: PSD
CAG is hosting it's second installment of Military Operatios in Urban Terrain or MOUT training. This time it's in Private Security Detail work, or PSD. How to guard a principle through a variety of scenarios dismounted with classroom work on the methods of mounted (unless we can get vehicles into TacTac ;) )

Cost: $35 per person if prepaid by January 23rd (Sunday) at midnight. $40 at the door or prepaid after that.

Training will include:
Classroom instruction using whiteboard on the formations and techniques for protecting a principle or VIP
Weapon use and handling both indoors and outdoors, as well as optimal carry options for specific environments.
Non-firing methods to take down possible assailants including multiple-person takedowns and disarmament techniques.

The Trainer:
Served in Lotar, a CT Special Forces unit in Israel
Attained the rank of Master Sergeant
Served as recently as 2006 in the Lebanese Invasion
Served in real world PSD missions
Extensive cross-training with SEALs and other US groups
    Knows his shit

NOTE: If you do not wish to do hands-on techniques participation, tell us before or at the event and you can learn the techniques and then watch during training exercises.

Payment:
You can prepay $35 to alex_all_alone@yahoo.com and please include in the notes who you are (name, callsign). You can still prepay after the 23rd but it will go up to $40. Prepaying at any time will secure you a spot on the roster. You can also pay $40 at the door.
Uniform:
The uniform is whatever you'd like. We recommend a PSD-themed civilian attire, with a fisher's vest or other loose top to conceal an SMG or pistol. A full rifle is not required for this training. We recommend a balaclava/shemagh/mouth guard/full face covering, as it's indoors, but not required.
    Gloves are also recommended.
All other rules are listed here: http://tacomatactical.com/rules.html
As it's a private party, PM me if you have any issues with those rules and we can work with you.
Logistics:
If you'd like to come to this, and we have enough people, we can try renting a vehicle or setting up a shared transit vehicle to get everyone up to this.

Ammo:
Non-Bio s REQUIRED the arena. I will be selling .20bbs for $7-$8 a bag. .2g are required.

330 FPS Limit is REQUIRED

Bring any additional questions or topics you'd like to discuss or post them here and we can build them into the training

Sorry this is so late notice, but our good friend, STROOM (You might remember him from CAG MOUT I) is finishing up his degree at UW and returning to Indonesia. This was his last request and MUST BE DONE.

Also, as per the cost. I tried to get it as low as possible, but this is a legit arena and we're using their peak play times. I am expecting to lose money on this event. This sort of training usually costs more than $35 an hour, easily. If you want professional training, you'll have to pay a little more. We're getting a frikkin' good deal at $35 for a full day with a trainer of this caliber.

I hope I can go too... don't know if I have track practice in the morning on saturday seeing how practice started.
And I think....maybe taking the bus down there? Might take some time.

The biggest problem (well tied for biggest) is that I don't have any airsoft stuff with me here at UW. =/
...........

Im mostly interested in meeting some of peeps of CAG and recording some footage. =D

You should put the where/when/what stuff in regular text too. You can't cut and paste any of that stuff from the image. Makes it hard to go look up directions.

You're talking about takedowns, so should we bring restraints?

Just wanted to post a comment. I noticed you mention that bio and non bio's are allowed. Generally Tacoma Tac does not allow Bio bb's due to safety concerns.

Ahh, good to know. Their website just said bb's so I didn't see anything specifically saying non-bio.

I'll change it to non-bio only.

UPDATE: We've got 5 confirmed. If you'd like to be on the confirmed list, please PM me with serious interest or post here.

You'll be slotted at the top when you prepay.

Currently max is at 45, though we'll probably drop to a total of 40.

No restraints that I know of. Mainly things such as:

Situation: You're guarding a VIP that is giving a speech. A gunman in the crowd shoots at the speaker. Due to ROE, you can't simply spray the crowd, so you have to do a non-firing takedown using 1-3 people.

More towards grappling than zip ties, but I'll be getting with him about it and getting more information and ask him about restraints.

Thanks for coming and trying it out.

If you have anything specifically you want to work on, we can also work it into the training.

We've brought this guy out once before, but focused mainly on MOUT and room entry. This should spice things up a bit more than what people are used to.
