I saw his camera, which was attached to the gun, go up long before shotgun guy even saw him, meaning he shot him first.

To OP:
I run with a pistol often, but that's only because I don't own an AEG. I can usually borrow one from a teammate, though, so I do that. The only reason I ever run with a pistol is if it's part of a character I'm playing, or, as Steve mentioned, if concealment is a factor. I.e. I was some redneck at Res: II, so I ran with a shotgun and my Glock. I was a black marketer at LOW, so I just carried my Glock. I was a Mujhadeen fighter at HW, and i needed to conceal my guns, so I just carried my Glock, and not even that, often.

so if you shoot someone first and they still get a trigger pull off, you are allowed to just shrug off hits? if you shoot someone holding a real gun, and they dont die instantly...what the shazaam do you think happens? they just stop shooting at you cause they got shot? how retarded is that line of thinking.

a hit is a hit, call it or hack away.

How can you be sure the BB even hit him? It could have been a ricochet from behind him. Don't call people out on assumptions.

Actually, it was a riccochet. Watch the video more closely. The gun cam is mounted to the right side of the gun. The pellet comes bouncing back from the right side of the screen, low, and still moving fast.

Had he hit me, I'd have called it.

From my experience (which is basically none), if you're doing a lot of crawling around, and you find yourself in a tight area, you might want to use a pistol. But, outside of those circumstances, I can't think of a time where a pistol would be superior.

Honestly, why post useless info in a buried subject?

An interesting discussion indeed! I would say that a mega downside is distance for sure. Firepower is limited, having 20ish shots per mag instead of 100ish, and having expensive mags since most pistols are gas. However, if your pistol is gas efficient enough (maybe something awesomely non-blowback like a TM MK23) you could always add an extended barrel thru silencer and perhaps make it a tightbore. This is because the gun doesnt stop releasing gas until the BB is ejected, so it would then make sense to put some fatty heavy BBs in your pistol for consistency and punch, and use it as a primary. I've seen people tho that just have 3 or 9 pistols with them for kicks. It's kinda baller if you use pro tactics!
