Realistic impressions for games?

Discussion of load-bearing equipment, tactical gear, holsters, BDUs, and other gear related to Airsoft.

It may have been said, and I missed it, but does it matter what country your impression is based on? I almost have a complete Australia SOTG loadout, and would hate to hear that I couldn't use it :(

Dan, would you be willing to get CAG to provide actors for the indigi's?

That would actually enable us to have a solid base of actors that have sufficient training and understand the basis from which we are grading and operating.

Depending on the lane...Personal communications skills will be one of the strongest assets any of the participants will need.

If you need indigenous actors, we have Pickles leading that facet of our group and we can do a good Chechyan insurgent group, or Afghan themed group.

Give us a warning and we can get some more Shalwar-Kameez ordered up and get you a worthy group.

What numbers are you looking at? We can probably get a dozen, with a mix of combatants and villagers.

+1. Having objects and barriers that actually look the part on and in the field would (IMO) increase the seriousness of the players. I would love to see fields with actual buckers and sandbag fox holes; instead of our bases being made of tin and wood...

You mean a game with actual gear requirements? Sweet......

I'm in the process of putting together a PJ and/or CCT impression, even if the actual team it was intended for never went anywhere, complete with most of the knowledge to back up the impression.

RAV isn't confirmed to be used by Rangers. IE, those guys wearing RAVs weren't confirmed to be Rangers.

Haven't actually been to The Farm. I'm just can't justify driving 2 hours to play for like, 4-5 hours.

Who said it was going to be at the farm? This is a free show...and, it'll be a 5-6 team deal. Full day...5-6 hour straight...but, it's all good. This is the beta test.

Another thought (or perhaps clarification):

CAG as a group doesn't ALL have insurgency loadouts. Our group as a whole is interested in this facet of mil-sim, though.

We had people admin-running Holy Wars, but the majority of the insurgents were individual players willing to wear full immersive gear.

CAG will come if it's good and I'm pretty sure you'll make it quality. Give us dates and what you want and we'll try to get as many into the proper uniforms as we can.

Before you do this, we should get an AP http://www.Zarinas.com order on clothes.

There's a thread on our forums about Afghan loadouts and mil-sim related goals in that direction here (if anyone's interested. You don't have to make an account to read it): http://www.vivalapla.com/forum2/viewtop ... f=45&t=947
