Need opinions on plate carriers

Discussion of load-bearing equipment, tactical gear, holsters, BDUs, and other gear related to Airsoft.

I'm a khaki/tan, MJK, coyote tan (not coyote brown) lover because my son and I like SEAL impressions (MJK/tan/coyote tan over 3-color desert, multicam, modified MARPAT FROG Combat uniforms because we don't yet have AOR1 uniforms.

Army SFG/Army CAG-ACE (tan load-out over multicam uniforms) impressions. However, when it comes to USMC type impressions, I run Coyote Tan or Coyote Brown carriers and chest rigs.

If you're going to run a darker set-up because you're up north where the environment is darker and there is more foliage and woods etc..maybe go with a coyote brown colored carrier and stick with woodland MARPAT uniforms or other uniform that has some green mixed into it etc..

Also, remember the general rule for most load-outs:

Dark OVER Light = YES

Light OVER Dark = NO

But it's still used.

Either way, MJK/AOR1/Multicam would be a better choice for it.

I think that was a good choice. Coyote Brown seems like it would be better for up north.

Yes..true.

However, the choice we made was to go with MJK platforms with primarily MJK/khaki or tan pouches because it's the primary base color of the non-embedded SEAL teams..etc ...but later, if we ended up with some coyote pouches for our MFR/MARSOC/MSOB load-out, they would still work on the SEAL kit and would maintain the "dark over light" philosophy. We also stayed with the lighter MJK based colors because we prefer to keep our SEAL kit coloration separate from our USMC impression kits. Less confusion when we go out to the garage and gear up for a meet..etc.
