Realistic impressions for games?

Discussion of load-bearing equipment, tactical gear, holsters, BDUs, and other gear related to Airsoft.

Hey, I'm starting to build a body of people wanting to act for this little show we're putting together.

With our current theme we are going to go with an Afghanistan themed show. We will require 30-40 actors. All roles will be at the minimum interesting and most of you will actually get to fight...or be central in the theme of the game.

15-20 "rebel soldiers" Think Muslim/non-military dress
10-15 "civilians"
5 "Tribal leaders"

As for the teams that want to participate:

You will need to provide 12 guys to participate:

1. TL
2. ATL
3. Communcations
4. Medical: (You need to know basic first aid and medical care to fulfill this position)
5. TACP (CAS)

The remainder of the slots can be redundant skillsets.

Teams SHOULD have 2x SAWs within their make-up. This is not required.

I'm building a game PDF right now so you guys can start your planning and team building processes.

I'd be done for this but I have no team on which to rely on. Besides I've yet to see a team doing that strict milsim.

Kevin, Bill, I hope this catches on so more games happen with these requirements. It sounds like fun and I want to get in on some of these games. Hope it all works out.

Now how would people who want to do this sort of thing participate if they don't have a 12 man team? For example I got all the equipment to meet the Mil-Sim requirements but there are only maybe 2 other people in my area that meet the requirements as well.

When I complete the PDF for this program...we'll set up a little area within the event thread to develop teams for this gig.

Most of the people who end up going to the team events we've built in the past have usually been established teams, but, being this is a FREE game (EVENT ACTUALLY) this is a great opportunity for people that want to build a new mil-sim community gaming concept and get fully invested in it.

Might end up setting up teams, based on impressions.

Exactly.

Yes, I want to get this done way before May.

We already have 10 people helping with just scenario assets, lane logistics, and go/no-go scoring criteria...and that was only a couple calls.

Very nice indeed, Catch.

That first vid is awesome, and is VERY inspiring. Anyone feel like hosting a large-scale op at a nice large field like that?

If only we could have enough people in the PacNW who wanted to do that. Too bad 75% of airsofters get pissed off if they sit around with no shooting for more than 20 minutes...

Also, I would LOVE to see a game like in those videos held here.

I honestly think there ARE enough people. If you watch that video closely, there cant be more then 50 players in that whole OP. You say 75% of airsofters, but for our community of over 1000, that means there is still nearly 250 hardcore players willing to participate.
I think impression and attendence need to be considered seperate beasts if you want to have an OP like this.
If you build it, they will come.

Also, I'd like to point out that the PNW has one of the largest (if not THE largest. Screw SoCal, they think airsoft gun are real guns down there. ;) ) airsoft community in the US, but with a tiny milsim population. We could try a smaller game, then progressively enlarge the op and expand the storylines.
