A little bit confused...

Discussion of load-bearing equipment, tactical gear, holsters, BDUs, and other gear related to Airsoft.

A little bit confused...

Postby Archangel 06 » Sat Dec 25, 2010 5:25 pm

So, I'm starting to put together my list of gear to get this next year, as I have a little bit of extra money available. That said, I want to work with the weapons I already have - a SOCOM-16 and a H&K Mk. 23. My first blush was that those would be used primarily by Naval SOC, but the more I dig around, the more I'm seeing pretty much everyone uses whatever boats their float.

And that right there is why I'm confused. If I had my way, I would do an Air Force CCT loadout, but again, it seems like the guys are just using whatever they like, beyond the base Tiger Stripe uniform.

So....should I just run down to AONW and get whatever I like (with a base of say a TT or a RAV) and roll with it?

Edit: My main reason I want to do a CCT loadout is because I am a radio techie, and what better excuse to carry around radio gear than being a CCT.

CCTs use MK17s, M4 Block 1.5, MP5A5s (really), M9s, Sig226s, and G21s (I think).

Alright, well I guess it's back to the drawing board...

But that's the fun part!

Cool that you want to run a CCT set-up...it would be neat to see more people running it. Here's some more help for you...regarding recent AF CCT load-out/uniform patterns info for you...

Sample of their equipment (get past their woodland uniforms and focus on what they are saying and what their gear is)

I'm getting my kitlist directly from 2 CCTs :D

When you're done...send me the kit list as I'd like to also use it as a guideline for a future kit to maybe put together this coming year.

Thanks Nasty.

Sounds great!
Maybe start it with Kev's Load-out threads. A CCT load-out thread would be a great addition to those other SOF threads.

That might have been the case. Anyway, I love these things. I may pick up one of those admin pouches tomorrow.
