I don't see why it wouldn't fit.
Nothing weird about it to me.

The mount uses 3 Allen screws to hold it on a rail. While it may look a little off, it should work assuming your rail is to spec.

Does your M4 have rails? Yes? Then it'll fit.

Cool. Yeah it was the three screws, I saw a higher lumen model with a different mount which threw me off.

I have that same light mounted on my M4. If you can get past the mount looking a different and attaching/detaching with an allen wrench, it's a kick a$$ light.

Eh, UTG light...

I had that mount, I hated it personally. It's a massive pain to take on and off, so I'd suggest getting an ACM Surefire replica that uses thumbscrew mounts.

I'd use the word "torch" instead of flashlight but I can't seem to find the time in my sh-ed-yool.

Chances are, you can scrap the crappy mount and use a scope ring to attach it to your rail. Just figure out the diameter of the body of the light and get a matching scope ring.

aside from not being QD, there's nothing wrong with the mount. its a piece of aluminum that holds a light and bolts onto a rail. its not rocket science.
