Hell, maybe we could set something up where you somehow sign into events with your AP account. Would make attendance way easier to keep track of and the the computer could do most of the work. Not sure how that would be set up though.

Didn't Matt mention this about 4 pages ago?

I think he said something about registering for events ahead of time. I mean you check in at the actual event with you account so the event host can verify attendance and keep track of hacks. Maybe he did say that, idk.

That sounds like something that could evolve into a blacklist. Gotta be careful with those or you start getting people trying to alter the list unfairly and you have to set up some sort of appeal system for the banned. Sounds like way more work and drama than we need.

I thought temporarily or permanently banning hackers would be desirable? Of course only the event hosts would have access to the list.

Bill has brought up a good point, such as bad blood between players and cited a perfect example. i would also like to add to that by saying, that is part of my ONFIELD sportsmanship....because lets face itm my online personna is a lil lacking....but the fact remains, a hit is a hit, i dont care if it was shot by my best friend and hit me in the back or my worst enemy and he hits me in the face.

and i belive the same would fall on my shoulders as a admin.... if i see something that aint right, i will voice it out, if i like you or not....case in point. i like pacman. but one game i thought i saw some questionable behavior, so i called it out. it got resolved.

so i think the good ol boys theme can run a little thin on those who value thier credibility within the community, over thier friendships and loyalties made on and off the field.

on the field of honor, and those you share it with, deserves only the highest honor shown by yourself. others will follow in line, or fall to the way side.
I am not half as good as I want to be, but I am twice as good as you think I am.

If event host allow single operators and unattached members into there event. The host needs to find a way to deal with an police them..

The draft should only be for those people who have no team ties. They also be taken out of the draft if they join a team..

Not everyone is part of a team, and even those that are, aren't always playing with their team at events, it wouldn't really be fair for game hosts to put in requirements that are different if you are on a team or an unaffiliated player.
Then how else would you control several loose elements?

Having these uncontrolled elements seems to add to the problems on field.

Well then tool, how would you improve things? Some of the feedback from your latest skirmishes hasn't been that stellar.

My sentiments.

Been there, done that. Not looking to deal with the aggravation.

Let me jump on the skeptic / pessimist wagon a bit. I suspect that if you start charging fees for a league that you will introduce a new element into the mix....liability and a duty to provide something......am I missing something here?

As far as the ability to upgrade sportsmanship and the ability to "police" miscreants......that would be laudable. That is the one thing that I observe people going on and on about in the forums after an event.
