Because he's not understanding that the Army uses both MC and UCP, sometimes in conjunction (one unit in MC, the other in UCP).

Seagreen, by January we should have 5-6 people from Washington that have fairly accurate Ranger impressions, if that helps.

I think the first skirm will be somewhere in the ballpark of 30 people, more if CAG shows up as OPFOR, and I think it would blossom from there, because everyone would see pictures of it and say "wow that looks cool I want to do it!".

Of course you're still going to have those guys who want to dress like COD-Special Forces, which isn't really an accurate representation of SOF. Dan is right, most special forces units are still in plate carriers with helmets, they just use a wider array of equipment.

You can get an 8 man team to make a SEAL impression, and the SEALs use a wide enough range of equipment that you can have a "personalized" loadout in the same color, and still look pretty uniform.

Make everyone who wants to go to the game. Submit a picture of their impression and the pic that inspired them. Have to get approval before going ;)

I like the idea , it's the same as some WWII and Vietnam events which require strict impressions from players.

I would definitely be up for this. I am at the moment gathering up gear to make a proper Ranger loadout in Multicam. I'm more of a mil-sim type player and have alot of friends over in Eastern Washington who are the same way and want to go to more mil-sim type events with proper loadouts.

It's funny Kevin...I think a lot of people don't remember the level of gaming req's we usually bring to the table for the CQB stuff!

The SF/RANGER/PJ statement isn't "US ONLY"...but, your team is required to have a fairly reasonable represenation of whatever unit you are trying to display. The COD/MF gear is fine...at the minimum it is somewhat functional....not some kid in a t-shirt busting a move.

When the event is announced I'll ask Catch22 (Kevin to me) to be the official "impression" authorizing manager!

That being said: Catch...the game is written. We need to coordinate and develop an execution timeline.

Apparently I'm just discovering this thread. My crew would love to see the type of events being discussed here.

Count us in if you put it together.

Cool Pharaoh. I know you guys are squared away.

I'll have a timeline exection and "skirmish date" set up after I get with Kevin on some of the concepts he wants to input into this beta-event.
