And, IIRC, Rick is a Pantac USA dealer, now.

Airsoft Outlet NW is too.

However, I just looked. I don't think they've imported the MTV in Multicam yet. I could be wrong, though.

The OTV is not a piece of gear I would recommend unless you are strapping actual armor panels into it. And even then, I'd probably still go with another option.

If you are sticking to M4 / M16 / Anything else that takes STANAG mags, you have a ton of options.

Modular is nice, but not necessary if you are running a single platform for your primary. The modular pouches add bulk and weight and cost. They give you flexibility, though.

When looking at a plate carrier, there are a couple of questions to ask yourself. The biggest is "Am I going to put plates (fake or real) in this?" The reason for the question is this: Some of the go-fast rigs use the plates as stiffeners. Without plates, some of the rigs are more than a little floppy, which can make it a pain to grab mags out of pouches. But if you are planning on running plates, then you can get one of the lighter rigs (5.11 makes one for about $50 that will hold up to being dragged around by the drag strap). If you run plates in a "heavy" rig, you are adding weight and decreasing breathability.

The other question is "how much crap am I looking to hang from this vest?" It's a pretty common rule that MOLLE vest real estate is equivalent to women's purses. The more real estate you have, the more crap you'll hang from it. Watch out for this. Either run a small rig, or stay ruthless about not adding random crap you are unlikely to use to your rig.

Thanks Again I looked around a bit and I found some pics on here: http://airsoftpacific.com/viewtopic.php?t=31134 (the ones in multicam there on the first page) What is it that these guys are wearing? Is it something that has been suggested yet? And would you suggest Multicam or tan or OD? or what?

They are EPCs. If thats not the picture your talking about though, a direct link to the picture is much more helpful than "those guys in MC" :P

If you plan on running different cammies, I'd get a tan/CB EPC. If you only plan on using MC, then get an MC EPC. I'd personally recommend getting a CB/tan one since it'll allow you to use more cammies without looking special ed (MC PC on woodies would look pretty dumb ;)

I've found that tan/CB works better with MC cammies than OD gear, but that could just be me.

I prefer OD gear with MultiCam because I live in NW Oregon, which is pretty green year-round. If I lived in Southern/Eastern OR or Northern CA I'd go with Tan/CB gear as it can get drier (hence more browns/tans).

This being said, does anybody actually use Admin Pouches? I have 2 friends that harass me about not having one, but i'd feel bad buying one.

Never used one, nor ever had much use for one. Stuff that goes in Admin pouches goes in pockets just as well.

I know me. If I don't keep my kit ruthlessly light, I find that it has grown into an abomination. Next thing I know, I'm carrying 18 mags for my primary, three SureFires, four mags for my pistol, 18 rounds of 00-Buck, 6 chem-lights, most of a CLS bag, two MREs, 8 cans of Red Bull, three frags, two smokes, two bangs, an incindiary, a concussion grenade, three star clusters, two flares, a strobe light, a spare ACOG, a GPS, a box for a -249, 6 sets of zip-strips, 2 CATs, a couple bags of jerkey, spare can of dip and two packs of smokes, a couple of AK mags, an IV setup, three nicoderm patches, and two juice boxes (for our monkey!) strapped to my armor.

And my go-bag has sprouted additional pouches like ACU-colored mushrooms.

MOLLE real estate is seductive when empty. And slutty. It'll take anything, as long as it fills a hole.

I definitely do, I put a few IR tabs on it, keep a map and a wallet in there, my knife or a flash light, and it looks cool. It's very useful.
