Santas War V: Santagrad (11-12 December 2010)

Wow, I had a great time. It's nice to see so many people show up for a chairity game.

I enjoyed the constant back and forth of attacks. We'd gain ground, than lose it, than gain it, than lose it. For those who bailed at lunch, there was no rain in the second round... you missed out.



Now, for something that needs to be said. There is one player in this community who I feel brings this game down. They have at numerous games refused to call hits, changed teams, and openly bears hostility to those who try to help things out. Today, this player decided to switch teams, just because he didn't want to wear the Red of Santa. Instead of changing his armband color to yellow, and removing his Santa's hat, he entered a fort and started shooting red players. When I entered the fort to clear it out, I shot the 3 yellows in there, and him in his red. When asked why he wasn't killing them, he told me that he was on their team, and that he was killing red players. I asked why he hadn't switched colors, and his reply was that he didn't want to and didn't have the time. I ran in on him joking with his buddies. After lunch, this same player switched to yellow armband, but kept the Santa's hat. When requested by the admin to remove it he said it's just a game and to chill out. He then proceeded to flip out when multiple people were informing him that it was confusing, and unsportsmanlike to wear both colors at once. This is not the first time, nor I fear the last that we will have issues from this person, and I encourage many event promoter to be aware of NEMO and his game play. His attitude of "it's just a game" leads him to openly not call hits, switch sides on a whim, play unsafely (refer back to him shooting me full auto after I had been dead for 3 minutes and the actual game was over), and degrade this sport. Many people in this community feel the same way I do, and have expressed disinterest in having him around. Again, NEMO needs to be watched closely at future events.

Great game everyone. I was almost hoping for more rain so I could test out my new sexy Santaflauge poncho but we lucked out.

It was also nice not seeing a bunch of trash all over when everyone left. I went with Alex to do a last minute sweep to find any garbage and we barely filled a 1/4th of a bag. Thanks everyone! Doing this makes sure we are still welcome at this, and other fields

CAGs +4 switched sides on Sunday after the recock and I had a blast fighting you guys.

I couldn't tell which one you were though, because I kept looking for your urban tiger stripe pants, which you didn't have on I noticed after the game. You had them on Saturday, though, and I think I remember fighting you Saturday, but I couldn't really tell because I had a turban on and the rain made my shooting glasses fill up with water.

pheonix is a tricky bastard. we got locked in mortal kombat, and then he rushed me while i was holding a bolt with no side arm. once he got past a certain distance, i was screwed, i tried to relocate and got nailed for it.

as for you dan. on day one the only time i saw you was late in th day, you had pushed up into the center of the city, and all i saw was your a$$ up in the air, but i could not be sure, i thought it was yer face, i was going to shoot it because they look so much alike.
