I love mine as well and have had zero issues with it. My one small complaint is the lack of thumb holes that are present on the hooded version ( I have the non hooded version).

As everyone has said they do run a bit small.

in heavy rain, even my 5.11 saber fails, and that takes alot of water. i am not so sure the condors can take as much abuse.

i am positive that they soak through just like every other softshell.
I am not half as good as I want to be, but I am twice as good as you think I am.

thats probably the only downfall but, I'd think that it would be difficult to make a light-weight combat-friendly jacket that breathes well and keeps out ALL water. I think they've done a great job and thats why I'm getting one:)

I've worn mine in heavy downpours, and stayed nice and dry. For the zippers, remember to get the backing flap into position so that if it does leak, that gets wet, not you.

For the people complaining that the rain washes down the neck, DUH! It doesn't have a hood, therefore the water from your head has a place to go. Don't use that as a downfall because you weren't smart enough to buy a hooded one...

I love mine, wear it nearly everyday, and don't baby it. It's held up nicely in the short time I've had it.

Couldn't find a pic of it on the condor jacket, but thats what they are. Handy for cold weather so you don't have a gap between your gloves and sleeves.

i do not like the thumb hole. puts the jacket right inline to shed all of its water right into your gloves.

Thumb holes belong on under-layers. That way your ninja suit goes under the gloves, your gloves are cinched down around that, then the jacket goes over the base of the gloves. Helps keep water out of your gloves, and helps make a wind-seal around the wrist.
Plus a jacket is a lot more prone (than under layers) to catching on things (like trees) and cranking that thumb loop into ones thumb joint, and it rubs raw after a while. The loss of the thumb loop on the soft-shells was not big loss.

Plus it gives you an excuse to get a ninja suit, which kick a$$. I practically lived in my ninja suit last winter.

Tombstone wrote:So Bigfoot, you have the new model, the one without the built in hood? I'd like to know if Condor's quality level is staying constant since I bought mine.

I bought mine a few days after Beran bought his (peer pressure) and have since worn it daily in the rain, sleet, snow, and hail. I've summit ed Mt. Chokai and Mt. Taihei wearing it, and took a series of nasty spills with it on. I've had zero issues with it.

I'll echo what everybody else says though. They run a bit small, and you should get a size up from what you normally wear so you can layer underneath it. It is not waterproof, but it will keep you dry and warm for just about anything short of sitting around outside.

Worth the Skrilla, I might even buy a second one.

Yeah I didn't know that there were two different models. I bought the left overs from Rick's big group order after LOW. (I got a screaming deal on both, thanks Rick) I haven't compared mine to the version with the hood but I can also say that there aren't any thumb holes like I have been hearing about.
I have really nothing to complain about. I had to walk a few blocks in the pouring rain last week and the only parts of me that did get wet were my pants and neck. Not bad for a light rain jacket IMO.

I coulda sworn I saw thumb holes on the hooded soft shell when I was in outlet ( I saw them last year, haven't checked since then)...

Either way, its a minor issue that apparently only I care about ;)
