SERPA Holster Question

Postby LoneWolf808 » Mon Dec 06, 2010 2:07 am

Ok, after seeing many teasing pictures of BlackHawk SERPA Holsters on everyones Gear, i've finally folded and am deciding to purchase one.

This is where my problem starts.

I have A KWA KP45 Tatical, which has the "Blade" Sights (Not sure if those are the proper names of the things), my question is

Will the KP45 Fit in a USP Serpa Holster WITH the Blade Sights on? or would i be better off switching out the sights for something more smaller?

And i would like to tip my hat (Or MICH 2000) To Jewish Ninja for the SERPA mod, its one of the reasons that im able to use this wonderful piece of equipment

For Refrence:

P.S: If anyone is able to provide a better Alt to the SERPA then feel free to direct me in that direction

Thanks!

Finding a holster that can fit suppressor sights is usually pretty difficult. If you don't run a can on your gun, I'd swap the front site for a smaller one. Doesn't it include one in the box?

Get this:

http://soldiersystems.net/2010/01/20/crye-changes-everything/crye_gun_clip/

It enables you to flick the gun out of storage without pulling it up and pushing it out, therefore making it easier to use suppressed weapons.

Thats a nice holster, but im not running a can on the gun, as Jewish ninja said at the second post, i just have the silencer sights on it, but i do have a TM MK-23, so ill keep this one in mind.

@ Nasty: I have considered Safariland holster at first, untill i saw the price tag.

@ Jewish Ninja: sadly it does not come with alternate sights in the box. but i have a First Gen KP.45 floating around somewhere around here, so ill just rip the sights off of that gun.

Thanks for the info everyone!

If you hunt on ebay, you can usually find a good deal on a 6004/5 safariland. Used M9 ones usually go for about the same price as a new M9 SERPA (~$40 or so). Since the USP isn't as common, you might have trouble finding one.

All in all though, they are both great holster options.
