I actually showed up to this game with +4 people (5 total; 4 from Team W.H.A.T. This was our first time at this field and we like to great turn out (40-50 people); however, I was just a little bit disappointed with the airsofting compared to previous AP events I been too.
1. We didn't do any games that were listed on the gameplan. We only played 2 force on force games (which supriselingly average about 2 hrs each because we started airsofting at like 10:30am and it was already passed 2:30pm when we got done). I was a little disappointed about not being able to play one of the game modes listed.
2. I know this one isn't the field and facultly's fault, they did a good job reading off the rules in the beggining, but some people would not call their hits.
Example: During the second force on force game, the other team was clearing out the area by taking out my teammates but they missed me. So I had a clear shot on this one guy and he was like only 20 feet away with no cover from where I was so I look down my sights and started shooting. My gun was sighted on his side torso and I fired a big enough burst that I knew at least one hit him (This was a fairly accurate gun) but after he got hit he just took cover and told his teammates. Then I got lit up and called my hits. This is just one of the times that it happened during this event. Like I said, not the staff's fault, just wish some people would have more honor.

Overall the airsoft was alright and still more fun then airsofting at a friend's place but I don't know if it was worth the drive (Its a 90 minute, 60 mile drive from where we live to scappoose). Well it was an honor playing with you guys who came out today and hopefully we can share some plastic in the near future.

Sorry we didn't do the games posted, but the snow and cold really weren't conducive to alot of sneaking around. Plus, I was asked to keep the game play out of the village  The reason I called the game at 2:30, is because people were getting cold and no one was even shooting.

Thanks to everyone that came out. I had a good time and glad to see some new folks out there.

Pics I took were added to this album http://media.airsoftpacific.com/main.php/v/skirms/skirmishes++2010/?g2_page=10

Remember that this was a skirmish..not what you would call an "AP Event"... just sayin

That's the trouble with free skirms. You can't control who shows up and they don't always go as planned. There's about as much forethought involved as "hey lets get together and play some Airsoft." But if you're at a location, you've got a bunch of guys there, nothing is stopping you from continuing to play even though some people want to call it a day.

My plus one and I had a great time. I always enjoy Scappoose skirms, and to have a game in the snow was even better.

I personally didn't see any hacking, but then again, I always encourage honest play by using extended bursts of fire...

what a lot of people consider hacking is quite often doubt, especially in weather like this.

think about it. when something hits you in a game that might have been a bb, or it might have been a raindrop, which one are you subconsciously going to want to believe it was?

that doesn't excuse multiple shots though, rain just doesn't fall like that. i try to help them make up their mind by sending several rounds downrange even on semiauto.

also, good game. cold, but good.

Good times today. I didn't see any hacking from where I was at. I was hoping that we'd play longer, but I guess the weather made it pretty rough on people.

Thanks for putting this on Kevin! I always dig Scappoose games. Especially in the snow!

Well I've only been to one OP on AP, the rest of the games I've been to were skirmishes so this was an "AP event" by my standards lol.

Sorry I couldn't show boys (or girls). Someone called in sick at work and I had to fill in. I will be sure to fake sick myself next time. ;)

People getting cold? Noone shooting? What has this world come to?

I look at the photos and a small tear comes to my eye, it's the airsoft I remember, preserved as it was at one of my favorite venues...
