There isn't enough snow to justify something like that. You'll stick out more than someone wearing hunters orange. Just look for the white blob running around.

Which is why something like this would work instead:

http://www.amazon.com/Snow-Camo-Poncho/dp/B0007OW2PA

So you're not just a solid white blob, rather you're the white with random green spots blob that's running around.

Not if you're low crawling everywhere!

Also edit: In Eastern Oregon and Idaho, we wear ACU's and they are very good at blending into sagebrush. Gowen field (just outside of Boise) is the color of ACUs.

Dan, that's nice and all, but the majority of airsofters don't low crawl. They stand up and run around (I'm guilty of it too). Even fewer people will crawl in snow/mud. Also, take a look at most of the fields we play in. They are all mostly covered by thick trees. This means that less snow will actually hit the ground you are low crawling on. So, a white person moving around on a brown/tan/white/black backdrop will stick out worse than Ka-Bar at a Kwanza party.

Also, thats fantastic that ACU's work in eastern Oregon and Idaho. Last time I checked, majority of the games that are played via persons here on AP was in NW Oregon.

Any solid color will rarely blend in to anything in this part of the world! If you were in Antarctica then solid white would be awesome! But here, even if you are in a field coved in snow, if they have a line of site on you that causes you to break up the horizon, they will see you. You need something to break up the lines of your body or else you don't have a chance of being camo.

As for ACUS I'm not sure how that will work in the snow. The way my front yard looks right now they would be great! But I have found they work really good at night time in tall grassy fields in North Carolina!!! Otherwise I have no clue where they help! haha

one time i infiltrated a kwanza partie.

i got 4 chicken wings and a slice of watermelon and a quart of grape drink down before i was found out....

i dont care if there is snow or not....how much do you want to bet that i can sneak up and scare the shazaam out of you wearing all black and a bright red santas hat.

because the guys at rogue airsoft found out the hard way at the last santa wars, that KA- BAR does not fuckin play.
I am not half as good as I want to be, but I am twice as good as you think I am.

The sagebrush comment was to correct someone's assumption that ACU's work nowhere, and don't work in sagebrush.

And as far as realistically, camouflage doesn't make that much of a difference in the ranges that we play airsoft, with movement being a more important aspect.

He's asking about what to wear in the snow and to do a snow-loadout. Overwhites are your best bet as they are cheap ($20), cool looking, and airsoft is all about the fashion show. Fo' Sho'

Dan, saying that camo patterns don't matter here is a very false statement. There are multitudes of examples of when people did not see others because their camoflauge was working for them. There are also times when the camoflauge wasn't working for them. Knowing what works in each environment, and how to utilize that will benefit the average airsoft player. If used properly, it'll break up your outline, and confuse the enemy. Isn't that why militaries all over the world use camoflauge?
