Scarf stop a bb from breaking teeth?

I hate face masks, hate 'em... If I wore a scarf over the lower half of my face (thick and wrapped), would I be fairly safe?

It's tough to breathe well through a scarf; goggles fog really bad with one.
I recommend a standard football mouthpiece. It's like a dollar, relatively comfy once fitted right, and doesnt fog goggles. Oh, and it does stop BB's.

Balaclavas work well, I have one and it does a good job of stopping things

I wear my shemagh over my face and with shots to the mouth with it on, none of my teeth have been damaged. Even during CQC. I think you're good.

I got shot in the chest by a sniper the other day. One inch over and it would have hit a soft spot on my throat, probably penetrated. It hit a bone and drew blood. I'm thinking about wearing a scarf AND a face mask now...

Face mask won't protect your neck though, at least mine won't. I do have this old paintball neck protector thing laying around...hm

I use a shemagh around my neck, which goes on my face if i feel the need, as well as a mouthpiece to ensure teeth protection.

Yeah, when you mold and cut em right they're pretty comfy and you can talk pretty well.

Mine does, it has a removable neck guard.A scarf isnt the best idea.Go with a mouth peice.Snipers need to stop shooting 550 fps...

Shemagh will stop a BB but is hard to breath through. A balaclava is easier to breath through but have been known to not stop a BB injury (see Amos' tooth break). Get a properly molded mouth guard.

I always wear a balaclava and have been hit in the mouth a few times. No damage to my teeth, or fear of bb's "penetrating the soft spot in my neck".
Also, mesh doesn't fog! Invest in a pair of well-made mesh goggles if you don't want to worry about fogging. A mouthpiece is always a good idea if you're playing CQB, for larger games at farther ranges I tend to not wear one.
