The actual owner I believe is The Bureau of Indian affairs ( Old Chemewa Indian school site) Maybe an e mail to war paint would result in a remedy. Good luck getting a response from BIA

I suggest we get suggestions like that all to Riddick and let him go through his channels. We don't use the field very much as it is, and I'm not sure (I don't host games) how strong our airsoft love is with the place. Best not to have too many voices pester them.

at the very least if not the barbed wire they really need to cover those holes.

overall though I really like warpaint, people need to host more games there.

i have already address some of these issues with the manager of warpaint. the missing man hole covers were caused by someone hired by the indians. The man hole thing is something new but very dangerous.

I know what is out there now and made a note of it and if I host another game there I will make sure those issues are taken care of.

Want to bet the covers were sold for scrap?

I wonder if you could roll those big wooden spools (from the parking lot, and elsewhere) over the holes. Those are heavy enough that they wouldn't slide around much, and they'd provide a little cover in areas that are normally wide open.

My worry is that they move and if people accidentally move them when using them for cover, you now have a piece of cover (attracts people near it) right next to a hole that is possibly unseen from many angles.

I'd suggest a flat piece of OSB or particle board over the top of them that has bright markings on it.

Sandbag them in place. No one bothers moving those, and if the weight of the spool itself isn't enough to keep it in place, the bags will remove any uncertainty.

phiz wrote:How are parents supposed to know the risks if the organizers and players don't tell them? Withholding information about potential broken teeth or face scars is not nice, that is my opinion as a parent. Had I known the risks when my kid started playing I would not have let my kid run around without face and mouth protection.

I assume that we all take responsibility for promoting the sport in our area, assuming we want places to play and people to play with, and websites to advertise on. I would like to still be playing 10 or 20 years from now, having kids teeth get shot out now means they won't be playing in the future.

Is too much to put on the waivers, "FACE AND MOUTH PROTECTION STRONGLY RECOMMEMDED" ?

Anyway, sorry to call you a D.B, that was not appropriate and I edited it out. My bad.

Best regards,
Phiz

He's moved the digression about face protection to a separate thread, sir.
