Help in choosing a Ranger loadout

Discussion of load-bearing equipment, tactical gear, holsters, BDUs, and other gear related to Airsoft.

Just a warning; Redwolf's prices have gone up and actually exceeded ASGI's prices for the RRV itself and many pouches, let alone shipping. So if you plan to buy Pantac, buy as much stuff as you can from GI to save some.

EDIT: There is also Riddick, who is awesome and more reliable than GI (especially since he ships in a relatively timely manner :)).
Please, I insist.

Please do not post if you cannot contribute to the conversation. AONW and ASGI are both the wrong place to be ordering Pantac gear.

I thought AONW carried Pantac gear now.

They do, but i guess he doesn't like them lol

And yeah it does suck that GI doesn't have RG gear, but hey maybe them or AONW will carry it some day :D

They have? I've only noticed a $10-15 increase in prices, mostly on their carriers.

I'd order from ASGI, except they don't carry RG gear...

True, forgot their color selection isn't vast at all. Also, if you add shipping in, then it goes to a 30 or 40, but you're paying for a decent shipping time.
Please, I insist.

As far as I can tell AONW and ASGI's selection of Pantac is very very limited. They do not sell basics like closed top STANAG mag pouches, but that's fine, I like both stores for other reasons.

What Nasty said is correct, and since Pantac =/= Flyye, both Redowolf and eHobby blow any American store out of the water.

Hole ranger gear topic but am interested in starting to acquire items for a ranger loadout. I originally wanted to be navy eod, but I didn't want todeal with the old desert camo in oregon's woods, and multicam works well. Also I won the IAS plate carrier, but unfortunately it is colored cb. I was wondering how the flyye "force recon vest land" or even the mar version would do as a semi authentic look. I'm interested in it because it has a place where I can put my camel back tube and sling through on the shoulder, and it comes with alot of pouches for super cheap, all 1000d. I can get it in rg. Of course, I'm looking for function and practicality over authenticity. I will sport a dump pouch and a blackhawk SERPA holster for my tm m92. As for helmets, the ibh helmet airsoft club looks really nice. It is an mich 2001 replica, idk if rangers use it but eod does but idk what color to get it in. My gun is totally cris costa'd out so that will not be authentic at all. I will try to integrate all the pouches I will need, but might not totally be authentic as the mag pouches are double stacked. What do you guys think? My main q's are is the ciras acceptable or more functional over the rrv I believe it's called and whatcolor should I get the mich 2001 in? It comes in tan, fg, black, and I think od.

Okay so I have been convinced to buy the real EI PC since it is only $50 more than the replica, and it's real. I have a question about sizing. I am 5' 11", 155 lbs with 4% body fat. I do weight training so my chest is about 38" but I also run a 19 minute 3 mile so my waist is about a 29. I wish they had a medium large size.

So should I settle for the small medium with little room to growor go for the large extra large? Also how much will the cummerbund actually effect the fitting of the carrier?

Plus, real ones are hella hard to find. I've been looking for one forever, and I've only seen 1, size L/XL, sell on the forums in the past 4 to 5 months.

Yes I do realize that the other comes with pouches. What do you mean snowman? I saw that ei pc also, but skd tac and optics planet sell them with cummerbund, and they are selling the eagle ind real version. Skd is for 170 and optics planet you have to call for price, but there are other websites selling them from 170 to 225. Some of the pantac replicas cost more than that, more than the real thing, without pouches. Am I looking at something that isn't real? Because they seem pretty easy to come by online. Snowman, it's almost as much as you spent on your pants snowman.

Sorry for everything in one paragraph. I'm typing this up on my iPhone.

SKD and Optics Planet are both out of stock.

Optics Planet sucks, by the way.

Remember that the plate carriers are based on plate size, not your body size.

I've seen two. They are rare to find, though.
