AK47 What should I do?? XD

Postby Arbiter » Mon Oct 04, 2010 5:31 pm

Sooo I have myself a AK47 which is either a CYMA or a D-Boys.. Not entirely sure.. But the stock broke off and so I wanna make it into some wicked crazy cqb thingy lol. I want some suggestions tho cause I don't quite know where to start. :D Heres what it looked like just picture it without the stock and thats basically what I have: http://www.milspecairsoft.com/index.php/refurbished-cyma-softair-ak47-spetsnaz.html

Ever hear of duct tape repairs anything? if u can find a folding stock replacement for it that could be cool. Though i don't have very much experience with AKs.

That right there is either an Echo 1 or a JG AK Beta Spetz.

I'm not sure you could slap an underfolder stock on there with the current receiver, in fact, I'm pretty sure that you can't.

However, you could rewire it to take a stick battery up in the dust cover (a rather simple task), dremel off the stock mounts, and JB weld some kind of neatish rear piece on there to seal up the rear, if you have a powerful desire to go stockless.

Actually it is modeled on a gun that simply does not exist (outside of COD4 in which it was incorrectly referred to as an aks74u). Dboys does not make an AK beta, so its probably a CYMA or JG. Also, the full stock receiver cannot use an under-folding stock, it doesn't have the attachment hardware.

Yeah its not a real gun.

And Dboys does not make AK 47 models.

Anyways, you could make a cool "CQB" gun but just taking the gear box out, taking the stock off, taking the rear tang off, etc. (You need to take the gear box out to get the tang off)

Dboys makes the following:
- AKMS
- AK-74
- AKS-74
- AKS-74U
- AK-74M
- AK-105

No AK-47 models. They are all updated variants of the AK-47, not an actual AK-47.
