My Intro

Hello fellow airsofters. I have been attending AP games for about a year now, this will be the first event I am putting on with the help of some friends. Over my year of attending games I have noticed that the most fun games are usually a new breed called mini-ops. This game is a hybrid of a mini-op and full sized, the main way this game will deviate from a full sized OP is that it will have a total 75 PLAYER LIMIT. For this game I am going for more of a role-play game. Costumes for certain teams will be required. I want the player to feel like this is real and to remove them from the here and now. One last thing to say, there is a story here, you (the players) are all characters in the story and you will decide what happens depending by which team wins or looses.

What: A Role Play Airsoft Mini-Op thing
When: November 6th
Where: The Farm ( see http://www.playthefarm.com for directions and waivers)!
Who: Anyone who is 15 and older.
Price: $15!

Schedule
9:00am Chrono opens
10:00am Individual team briefing
10:30am Game ON!
12:30pm Lunch
1:15pm Game Resumes (we will see if people are still eating)
4:00pm Game ends and debrief

-Free Lunch!-
There will be a free lunch consisting of a hotdog, soda, and chips. (note the food selection is subject to change)

Back Story

2011. The government begins to slowly seize more and more power, causing Americans to lose freedoms and the president gains more control over the nation. As the government’s authority continues to grow, citizens begin to resist in the form of protests, some of which grow violent and turn into large-scale riots.

2016. The brink of civil war. 2016 elections suspended due to a national crisis. This infuriates many US citizens even more and there is rumor of armed rebellion. Sensing this, the government declares martial law and revokes the right to assemble. Only military personnel may now legally possess firearms. The outlawing of firearms instantly sparks a black market for weapons.

Over next decade there are several incidents of police firing into crowds to stop riots, police officers are killed, as well as many civilians injured or killed.

February 8th 2028. A series of highly coordinated attacks on National Guard armories ravage the west coast. While only a few National Guard are actually killed, 200 million dollars worth of weapons, ammo, and vehicles were stolen. With enough equipment and weapons to wage a small scale war, a stand off begins…

2031. Those that could flee began leaving the West coast in favor of the East coast, or other countries. The West coast is in an anarchic state. All out civil war erupts. The West resists any attack from the Government and three years into the war, it turns into a stale mate with a total of 6 million casualties. The East will not recognize the West as a separate country but instead claims jurisdiction even though they have no control over it.

2032. The small pox virus is reintroduced and cases begin appearing all over the world. The suspicion is that a highly advanced bio lab in Iran has synthetically created it. The Center for Disease Control, helps to provide relief for the rest of the world, but punishes the rebellious west, by refusing aid. With the reintroduction of the small pox virus, the vaccine becomes the most important commodity in the world. All of the vaccine is instantly confiscated by the government and is administered to the officials and military personnel. With the East coast barricaded and for the most part vaccinated, the West of the United States is nearly wiped out. Only one tenth of the population of the West survives the epidemic.

The focus of the scavengers of the West is merely to survive now, having been almost wiped out by the virus and war. There is still a deep seeded hate for the government, and the scavengers turn to guerilla style warfare when they have enough strength to.

Mean while the government takes this opportunity to attempt to regain control of the Western half of the United States. The President orders small outposts to be set up all over the West to force the scavengers to comply. The President also utilizes a series of private military corporations to work in conjunction with Government forces. No one is happy about each others presence. The government struggles to maintain control, and often doesn’t, while the scavengers merely try to survive.

Mean while the world watches as the formerly most powerful nation tears itself apart. A few of the more daring, venture to America to take a side, or simply seek their fortunes in this new frontier.

If a house is divided against itself, it cannot stand.

Mid Caps Only! (Snipers you may use 30rd mags or less) (Saws may use drums)

Gov forces:
These are weary soldiers who have been dispatched by the government to try and maintain control in the West. While they do get some supplies and have been vaccinated, gear is still hard to come by and they resort to picking up anything that they can find of their issued gear goes down.

Restrictions:
Only 15 slots for US forces!
3 SAW/support weapons (and you will want to fill all these slots)
Multicam base camo
No sniper/bolt
Radios allowed (you will also want to use these as much as possible)
Prefer US military based weapons (i.e. m4/m16 ect)

Private Contractors:
A paid force to do the governments dirty work, these are elite soldiers. While they are the best out there, they to are tired and worn out from the long days. They receive supplies on a regular basis and have crisp clean gear. There are running tensions between the government soldiers and the contractor forces, but no action has been taken.

Only 10 slots for PC’s!
3 slots for bolt/sniper
No support weapons
MARPAT encouraged, please stay away from other camos and more toward solid colors.
No support weapons
Radios allowed (you will also want to use this advantage as much as possible)

Scavengers/Outcast:
Despised by everyone, these people fight for survival day to day. Having lost family and friends to the virus these hold a deep despise for the government and all who stand by them. They are beaten, worn out, starving and cold. They only work together because if they do not they will be eradicated by the government and each other.

Restrictions:
45 Slots for Outcast!
Bolts encouraged (no limit)
No support weapons
No radios (sucks I know, but you have numbers so use them!)
Outfit required*

* This is not a lets go shoot them up airsoft game this is a role playing game! You need a costume for this game if you are a scavenger. This can be anything as simple as some old worn out jeans that you make a few holes in and put some oil and fake blood on, to something like you would see out of Fall Out! Why would you not allow the private contractors to wear PMC type uniforms?

5.11 or Vertx pants and tactical shirts.

agreed chef. i would think the private contractors would be more like mercenaries then soldiers. dressed casually enough to seem innocent but tactically too.

that looks like a hell of an op. im gonna check my calendar on this one. any limits on types of weapons for the civvies?

Only $15, I'm trying to keep the price low. Can't believe I missed that in the description!

Thank you, that would be phenominal!

Point taken, I wanted to allow MC and MARPAT, but I see where you are going with this, so I will change up the camo restrictions!

Civis are no SAW, and that is it really. As many bolts as they want! And this will be one hell of an op!

Looks fun! Bad time of the month, though, but looks possible for PMC or outcast.
Please, I insist.
