The TM G18C just released 2 months ago, don't know how good that is & also how long is the "preorder" that you have to wait.
KWC has better Glocks, my opinion. My TM G17 shoots very good, but the plastic is kind of thin, and the gun does has the total "toy feel" to it.

Sir, I cannot speak to the TM as I do not own one. I have 4 KWA / KSC ( same gun) 17,18c,&19. they are 1st rate and when set along side of my real Glock they compare pretty favorably. It is my understanding that the TM's have a plastic slide to meet Japan's laws. If you can get KSC do so. They have the trigger safety lever and trade marks. The KWA does not.

The TM will be back in stock on the 15th of Sept. I emailed asking them when the KSC would be in. If i can, i will be getting the KSC, if not, i will just get the TM and buy the aluminum slide for it

They are both very decent guns & very playable. 1911s are nice to have, but they have just too many pieces, sort of a pain to take it apart & clean compare to the glocks series.

It's not actually law, it's just kind of the standard thing to do. TM does sell metal guns in Japan (Type 89 and the AK-74M for example). It's just more apropos and gets the attention of less parental watchdog types to make them plastic.

I was under the impression that they made the slides plastic since they wouldn't really cycle on 134a if they were made of metal.

TM pistols are the way to go if your willing to invest the money in them (which is what it sounds like). If your planning on going the SERPA route for your holster, I'd email whomever your getting it from about it working in the Glock 17 SEPRA. Many people have said the TM 17 doesn't fit the SERPA right due to it being that ever so slightly out of spec.

I'd suggest getting just the regular 17 over the 18c. Having full auto on a pistol is fun for dicking around in the yard, but its usually worthless out on the field.

I agree.
Full auto Glock isn't too useful for gaming or target practice purposes, unless you have that magpul folding box little machine gun (forgot the name of it) :)
Glock 17 Serpa doesn't fit TM G17 due to its wider slide, but the G20 Serpa will fit.
The TM G17 is one of their best selling GBB pistols, and mine shoots around 330 FPSish.
The only downside is, the gun costs over $120, metal slide $100, enchance spring guide (A must for upgraded metal slide), plus $30 shipping from HK..
KSC/KWA Glocks are good enough, you can save the $ for the upgrade parts for an extra magazine & a Serpa holster :)
