It's not an in case in my case, it's a sure case that I'm going to mess up lol. So I'm going for a couple if its not expensive. Good advice thanks.

What I've found that wears down the barrel bushing to failure is the constant hitting of the spring guide rod against the metal. A preventative measure to help increase the longevity of that barrel bushing: Go to the hardware store and find a small rubber washer close to the same diameter as the bushing plug hole. place in barrel bushing all the way to the end. That should absorb most of the impact and metal isnt banging against metal. You can also stretch your spring out a little bit to get it to reduce travel, but its not necessary.
