kwa mp7

Discussion of GBB (gas blowback) replicas.

kwa mp7

Postby pappyjump » Wed Aug 11, 2010 12:41 pm

Hey guys i just bought the Umarex/Kwa mp7 from airsplat(i know, not the greatest retailer.) but anyway, i was wondering if there were any problems with it that you guys have experienced while using it. If you could give me any feedback about the gun and anything that i could watch out for, that would be great.

Are you talking about the GAS or AEG version?

With the AEG version... i know that you should be REALLY freaken' gentle with the charging handle. Don't pull it back too fast or hard when you need to adjust the hop-up. It WILL break and the part is impossible to find.

KWA only makes the gas version.

aside from some accuracy issues at longer range, i love mine.

Some reviews I've heard say that using heavier BBs (like, .40s) will garner better accuracy and range.

they "make" neither, they are the company that H&K contracts to license and rebrand other manufacturers replicas. the GBB they sell is the KWA and by looking at the price, id say the electric is a WELL.

either way, since he mentioned kwa in his post title and in the body of text, i figure its a pretty good chance that hes talking about the gas one.

Its kind of a duh thing, but when you load the mags, make sure you release the guide. I had to learn that one the hard way.

Other than that its a nice gun. Ive enjoyed the hell out of mine.

One thing I would be worried about is that Umarex has not yet allowed any MP7s to be imported in to the US...

From Umarex. KWA brought in the first couple batches but the last time they did was in December. Since then several companies have gotten KSC models in the US and sold them as KWA, but Umarex has not allowed KWA to import any.

I think it's a disagreement over who is the support for the product, if it's an H&K product that Umarex is responsible for or it's a KWA product that is licensed by Umarex but still a KWA product.
