March 18th Skrim in Philomath!!! (Map Updated)

Postby Eclipzed » Wed Mar 01, 2006 8:58 pm

This will be the first game on Marys Peak. The area we will be airsofting on is Siuslaw National Forest. I have contacted them and I have permission. Along with Law Enforcment, and National Forest Service.

This game should be alot of fun, I am excited to set this game up. I thank you all for cooperating with me on this. And I am sorry alot of this stuff is being updated last second.

The game will run from 11 to 4. WE WILL START AT 11!!! I will be there at 9, so dont be afraid to come to set up. But dont get me wrong. WE WILL START AIRSOFTING AT 11!

I will be getting a map to you guys soon... Were heading to Woods Creek Trail. And we will be near that. I just got to figure out how we get on it by talking to that lady.

Map To Woods Creek

Alright guys heres the deal. I did some reaserching and I know where we are going. But I have a small updated for the mapquest above. When you have gone through philomath, you will hit a y. Do not turn left and follow hwy 34. GO straight and follow hwy 20. Other wise you will never find a woods creek rd.

Once you get on woods creek rd keep goign till you get past all the houses. (DO NOT STOP AT THE END SPOT ON MAP QUEST!) I will have signs up that say Airsoft Event, or DR with arrows, or something. Keep your eyes out for those. They will lead you to the parking area where we will gear up and move out at 11 oclock.

Thank you guys for your patience, I hope we have a great time out there. Woods creek rd will be bit of a drive, but it should be ON the snow line, not above it.

This map is what the general area is. We are at Woods Creek Trailhead.
There will be like I said a parkinglot there. Mum's has informed me there will be no cell coverage up there, so be ready for that.

I will give a cell phone number to call if you guys get lost.

Wow, looks awesome. I don't really have a snow loadout or anything, but I could just add a few layers under my woodland BDU's I guess.

I'll see if I can get a ride, it's not too far.

I'd be willing to go, although the weekend of the 11th is no good for me.

I'd love some Philomath games. Its much closer to Eugene than Portland and I can bring some new players to the games.

Why can't we use the usual field? Starker get pissed at us all of a sudden? I can make it. I'm getting a new job soon and I won't start until after spring break. So the sooner I find a job the sooner I can quit mine.

Starker doesnt allow passes too 50+ people. Thats why its set up. Plus mother was flipping out. But Forest Service doesnt care.

I plan on setting it up around the 8th. So that would be next weekend. I'm hoping the top of the peak will be open. If the access road isnt open, then we could go as far as possible. Then its about a mile jog to the top. Or we have the meadow bottom that is kind of marshy. Probebly no snow down there. *shrugs* Depends on what you want...

Edit: I will try to get some kind of map going... Marys Peak is only 20 - 30 minutes out of Philomath...

Postby Eclipzed » Thu Mar 02, 2006 9:39 am

Alright, this is the best I could do. Its coming out of Corvallis. I imagine everyone should know how to get to Corvallis.

Map to Mary's Peak

I will give a cell phone number to call if you guys get lost.

Still setting up date, Calling F.S. when I get home today. I think I am going to aim for next weekend. Saturday, or Sunday. (Probebly Saturday) Dont know what day that is exactly. Could be the 11th...

If it is, is there something else happening the 11th I should know about? If not then that is the "tentive" date...

Alright, I will have to change some of my dates around then. I might just have to hold it for next, next weekend. *sigh* Sunday is out of the question for some people.

So I guess I will set it for next next weekend. The 18th. I am gonna call them. For now. I will be writing it up.
