Awful lot of junior high kids, but hey, it's summer.

You friendly fired (or should I say friendly grenaded) me.

EDIT: Review of game tomorrow, tired.

Thanks for making this happen Riddick! :D
My favorite part? That you ended the game late after we didn't get started on the field on time. It's a huge peeve for me when we start late, but end right on time.

The game was well put together & admin did a great job.

Thanks to Transition for the loaner gun after my back-up went down before lunch. Much appreciated man. 8)

The field was flooded with hacktastic little kids which was probably why i heard more "call your hits!" comments than ever before.
That sucked a bit of the fun out of the day for me, but all the 18+ crowd seemed great.

i had a fricken blast. i got shot way more then usual yesterday, but who gives a shazaam. i got atleast 4 or 5 really good long distance shots with my new scout rifle. one of the best shots taken wasnt even me, at the end of the game riddick and transition were sitting in a golf cart in the orchard across from the city. rick was like..." is that rifle anygood" i said..."its a stock well POS!" he asked too shoot it. he took a couple pot shots at players. then transition says...."lemme have a go at it" just then some dude in MC pops out around a corner from a building about 75 yards away. he pulls the trigger and we all gasp.....IMPACT.....we all cheer.

its not the rifle, its the shooter.

i also tagged some 13 year old punk kid in the forehead! he grabbed his brain bucket in pain and went down, then suddenly popped up firing. gotta love summer. if it wasnt for the dude behind me to witness it, slapping my back telling me a great shot, i would have gotten totally pissed off. instead i laughed hard and kept shooting.

shook hands and did the meet n greet too. that was probably just as fun as the game.

see you guys around.

Awsome game Riddick, lot of fun. I haven't done much urban stuff like that, so that was a nice change of pace.

Classic.
Makes for a funny story, but i wish these players would stay home. If you don't call your hits we may as well run around the woods with cap guns. *sigh*

There may have been some rude little dudes out there. But lets try not to make to much out of it. This is the "Game Thread", not the "Drama Lama Thread". Let just hope they get bored of the hobby, and never show back up again. Just my 2 cents.... ;)

But I had a good time!

Sometimes the little rude dudes need a ruder older dude to do more than ignore or flame them. They need a cooler head to prevail, grab them in the down time and 'splain to them the right way to play.

Showing them anger or just lighting them up an the field (which I'll admit can be very satisfying) doesn't teach them anything...most of them will still hack. You gotta show 'em.

After all, these younger guys are where the future players will come from. Teach them now, even if through gritted teeth, and you will improve the game of airsoft immeasurably. :learn:

that was a awsome game. got to run my gun which did some very nice long shots. Ohh and i finally got shot in the face woot! (cuz I'm a tool like that) only took...4 months of playing, but ehh it was nothing. i just enjoyed the game play and most of the time i was shooting sooo fing close to peoples heads because thats all they gave me to shoot at. a few i got and the fell to the ground for a while. o.o i thought i really hurt them even thought it was from so far. luckly they got up and just said nice shot. i cant wait for the next game there sense i enjoy how its ran adn teh people to play there.

I was looking right down the barrel for that shot; it was a thing of beauty. Good to meet you on the field.

I too noticed some issues with not calling hits, but in defense, the environment was a wide open one with a lot of long distance shots coming from unexpected angles. I'm sure I took a couple 200ft+ shots that I simply didn't notice. Longball is always a bit of a crap shoot anyway. No excuse for not calling those close-up hits though, that's what I was disappointed with.

All in all, it was a great game, Rick. Me and my crew really enjoyed it, despite having a gun go down and three of our four radios being non-functional. Probably the most fun I've had at Sniperz Den, and that includes playing SF at Belligerence.

Props to our Survivor CO and to the entire Survivor team for having a lot of balls and hustle! Being constantly willing to push for the entire game is what allowed us to hold our ground.
