This is it! The event you have all been waiting for, WWII Weekend!

There are going to be jeeps, trucks, maybe even a WWII 37mm anti-air gun! There will be plenty of room for Germans, Americans and anyone else involved in the European theatre!

Specific operation details will be posted up in the next few days.

The overall Operation is going to simulate the German counter attack on Carentan between June 12 and June 13, 1944. Each side will consist of 2 units. For the Germans it will be the 6th Fallshimjager (in Splinter) and 17th Panzer Division (in German Field Grau). For the US it will be 101st Airborne (501, 502 and 506) (in M42s) and mixed units from 29th Inf Div and other units operating in the area around June 13 (in M43s).

Basically you can wear any impression that is period okay for 1944 but we are encouraging Splinter and German Field Grau and M42s for the Americans. M43s, M41s will also be acceptable for the US.

Gun restrictions will be somewhat relaxed and we will have dummy period guns for pictures. Basically we will allow the same weapons that we did in BOB which will be anything that is 1960s or earlier with a preference on period weapons such as the Thompson, MP40, MP44, Kar98, M1Carbine, M1 Garrand, M3 Grease Gun, MG42, MG34, Luger, Colt 1911, Walther P38, Bren, Sten, Browning, etc.

M14s are the most preferred non-period weapon. If you are thinking of getting a gun for the event, this would be the one to get.

We will allow M16 variants without modern sights, accessories or other non-period add ons. We will also allow AK47 and G3 variants (other then G36). We will allow MP5s (not SD) that have no modern accessories (sights, silencers, rails, etc).

Our no-go list will include Bullpup design weapons such as the AUG and FAMAS. We will also not allow G36, Sig 552 (551 ok).

We will have a IMPRESSION contest for those coming in their own impression and we will have full impressions available included in the cost of the event. Those getting impressions from us will not be able to win the impression contest.

Event costs will be:

$60 ($45 pre-registered by March 24) - Full weekend - includes 2 nights camping - 2 days of airsoft - Operation Patch - Raffle Ticket and other items

$30 One day (Saturday or Sunday) - 1 night camping - 1 day of airsoft - Operation Patch - Raffle Ticket and other items

Yes. You must be in period uniforms. We are less restrictive about weapons but prefer period. Here are a couple of pics from the last WWII event:

This actually sounds like a hell of a good time. If anybody is interested in the historical aspect here is a link to the history of the battle.
