Review of Indoor Arena in Hillsboro?

Discuss anything and everything here that's Airsoft related.

The last time I was there, I met JuiceMachine's mother. She thought I was creepy because I had a mustache and gave Juice a 3 minute hug.

But she's definitely attractive.

I remember meeting Jebus's mom at CAGE. She wanted him to wear her pants while he played.

So what? You kids are all over dramatic. If you want to play in an arena, go play in an arena. Who cares about some story about Terry as a business partner, unless you are opening a Subway franchise with the guy it really doesn't matter.

Thanks for the actual feedback guys. Really didn't intend on stirring up a political mess, had no idea. I was just wondering what it was like. I played speedball for years in Paintball so that doesn't sound like a lot of fun but playing in an office environment sounds like a blast.

My personal reasons aside and they all say no go , I can give one plain reason not to play at this field. NO INSURANCE! If this new place had real airsoft sports insurance, the Insurance Company would be labeled on the waver form and by that companies policy, He would also have to have a binder with the company's info and the actual insurance policy for customer review. This this field doesn't have it. If you get hurt YOU WILL PAY FOR IT! Then have to sue to get your money back. S4 had no shit Airsoft Sports Insurance just like any honest indoor paintball field. If that is fine for you or your parents and the risk they are willing to take then rock on. If not then you should look for a place that does have it. The only fields that I know for SURE that have insurance any more is Splat Action and Snipers Den. If there are others that do have it even better, i just haven't played there. But just because you sign a waver doesn't mean you are covered if you get hurt. It also doesn't mean that the business is covered.

If you have questions about how to further tell if a field (indoor or outdoor) has sports insurance PM Seagreen and he can tell you. He dealt with when S4 was up and running.

Or you could stop assuming things and ask the bleeding owners if they have insurance.
Whats all this back alley supposition bullshit?

Actually, I find the waivers quite the joke. Multiple court cases (no, I can't cite them--I get this information from my father--the REALLY old, insurance company lawyer) have found that signed waivers do NOT provide the event organizer with any sort of SAPI plates against successful lawsuits. Insurance, though, does really help. When I used to run paintball tournaments, they were ALWAYS insured.

But this has nothing to do with main topic. Just thought I'd add that tidbit. Also, who's this Jerm dude? Does he even play airsoft? (that's an inside joke--the first time I played, I borrowed one of his guns. Then he went Iraq, then came back and got a job....)

You be creepin'.

Back to the topic at hand, I don't plan to give Oregon airsoft much business. Then again, I didn't give S4 much business, as the arena was still a speedball arena.

In short: Meh.

Yes, please check your "facts". Way too much drama going on here.

The "back alley supposition" is the personal feelings about one of the owners of the business that has opened in the old S4 location by those who know the former owners of S4 and have more info on the legal issues that took place then the public. No they wont be made public because of fear of lawsuits and lawyer fees. How ever they are OUR personal feelings. It is up to the individual to form theirs. But when asked if we would recommend doing business with this one business in general we will state our feelings on the manner.

I have been also told to check my facts, I did check Over a month ago to include have the waver in hand. If things have changed since then, awesome for them. But my statement still stands. I will not recommend anyone to go to a field that does not cover the patrons if injured. Understand there is a difference from insurance that covers property and building from assurance that covers the player.

It is up to the player or the player's guardian to ensue the field is insured or except the risk of injury on your own. You have the right to ask to see documentation and call around to find out. I would not simply take someones word on a matter when the repercussions could cost you thousands of dollars and years of litigation to recover that money.

According from an email from The Farm they have airsoft insurance and that kicks a$$. That helps eliminate the possible problem for a huge legal mess for the owner and anyone who may be injured.

for what its worth to those of you who dont know Jerm_G, I do know him, and I know him to be pretty squared away for a marine. I'd be willing to pay attention to what he's saying, as I have a feeling he knows a little more about the situation than most of you.

Jermy and myself both witnessed what happened at S4 first hand. if the rest of you cant take that at face value, thats fine.

belive me when i say that if i find out or hear about, or walk up on you telling a story of how you got upsidedown over/hurt/disrespected/or just plain ripped off... and i am going to laugh in your fuckin face and talk shit about you.
I am not half as good as I want to be, but I am twice as good as you think I am.

Yeah, you would also pay for it if you got injured at Scappoose, Carlton, Silverton, and at least half a dozen other fields in the area where people host games all the time. Not carrying insurance is actually more dangerous for the business owner when it comes to liability and cost. It's a foolhardy decision, but let's not forget many of us play this game on our own accord on public land all the time.
