Leviticus 28:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Leviticus 28:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, thy Uzi shall be thy sword and thy shield.
Leviticus 28:3 And thy estimation shall be of the Uzi a 30 round magazine.

The only airsoft UZI Ive heard of is the Tm uzi... So why not just change uzi to KWA Mac 11?
Because a KWA Mac 11 isn't an Uzi.

God spoke unto Moses. And you would change the word of God? Junior, you're lucky this is Airsoft Pacific, and not Airsoft Spain.

Lets end this before it gets too off topic. IMO KWA Mac11>TM UZI

Anyways, what internals do a bolt action sniper take? For instance, are they the same spring guide, cylinder, etc.?

What, is it too much that I ask a question? At least I didn't say something completely stupid like "Will a 11.>9000v lipo work with my utg l96?" (I'll attempt to revive the thread, sorry if I killed it.)

I think it is a good idea to have these "training" events. Like others have said it weeds out the people that are going to take a roll and kill it. However going to these events shouldn't earn you any extra credentials, such as "Just because you went to ______ you can have the sniper role as opposed to ______."

If you have a question about what Upgrades the Sniping platform you are talking about takes, then start another thread about it so you don't hi jack this one.

Nope, only you think you know. ;)

Also, I attempted to revive this thread but wherever I post it gets flamed.

I know that there are sniper roles, and there are fps limits. I don't see them connect. Vidar uses a Kar98, which is bolt action, but without a scope. He does quite well with it, using it more like a traditional WW2 battle rifle.

I know many people who use bolt action rifles because they like taking aimed shots and maybe they just like those weapon systems.

I can see the reasoning behind a safety brief before a game specifically for weapons if they get a higher fps.

I don't see the real need for a qualification, which was what this thread was started for. But some certifications could hold weight. For instance, you know that someone with this cert is at least mediocre with the weapon. Like Abe said, some people could be horrible and at least this cuts out a certain percentage.

But there should be limited SNIPER roles in a game, not limited weapon systems. A lot of games are coming out with limits on amounts of bolt action platforms. How about just allow as many bolt action weapons as you want, but only allow scopes on the assigned snipers? I mean, most snipers these days use semi-automatic rifles anyways.

i was going to run such a event nasty....minus alll the pretentious qualifications ....it was just a simple meet and greet off all the local snipers. i was going to call it ghillieman 2010. it was going to be free. full of workshops and classroom type evnts, from stalking to marksmanship....too just the younger kids getting to know who the real shooters were in the community. face to face.

but ill let the snipers go get "qualified."

Included in the safety breif should be target acquisition... And who to shoot, as well as who not to shoot. Some people can't tell the difference between who is hit, who is their teammate, etc.

Jesus, you guys phony pony about this 5$ Qualification for a position at events that only require it.

Its an Idea, its not a bad one. It teach's people how to use the gun correctly, and how to shoot correctly.

If you do not want to play by there rules, then do not go. If you don't like the rule, then suck it up or don't attend. It seems like this works for the community up there, as there is a lot of "Snipers"

@Cap n Pickles: My post was directed toward the idea of having a safety breif before every game.

That.

Also, here a few years ago BSP put together a Scout Sniper Competition...it was a fun event that definitely showcased players strengths and weaknesses in the Scout Sniper role. I have been building a lane tasking for this type of event again, but I'm still looking for the right place to do it. Would anyone of you all be interested in that type of event? Only the top 3 finishers win a prize and it will definitely be an interesting "event" to participate in.

May need to dust off Ghillie MK.1
