Fallout Loadouts

Postby weasle8877 » Wed Jul 21, 2010 4:45 pm

Hey,
I Thought I'd make a thread to get inspiration and hopefully inspire others, so everyone comes to this thing in a post-apocalyptic costume! So, post your pics of uniforms, props, weapons, and anything else you want to show off.

I don't have a camera now, so I can't post my costume. Instead heres some nuka colas + crate I made a while ago.

How did you manage the Nuka Cola labels, Weasel? I was planning on having a few bottles of coke around and if I knew how to make good labels for them that'd be tight.

Did you use a label maker program?

This guy has all the labels, and I just copy/pasted them into word. After that I just cut them out and glued them on. For the extra mile, I varnished the labels and the caps so they look more like plastic. I'm actually making a batch to sell for caps at the game.

I wanted to save it as a surprise, but I'm so proud of my handiwork that I just had to post my costume ^.^

I made the mask, cuisses, and bracers from scratch. The rest is mostly Goodwill + some distressing and minor sewing/button changes :P

Badass! I'm trying hard to not look like a raider (I'll be a trader). What kind of pants you got? They almost look like green denim.

Yep, it's like a green cargo pant. Denim-ish but not as thick. Goodwill + pocket knife and dirt. I also cut some holes and re-sewed them so up close it looks even more wastelandy, I think that would work well for the trader look.
