I'm going to shelf this event for the time being. I know it's bad juju to cancel and event, but it's worse if the event will not function correctly and the show does go on.

I have reevaluated the game situation, and honestly.....I'm not willing to put my name on something that isn't tier one gameplay for our region.

Events shouldn't be about the money, they are about the cool. If I'm not sold on how cool it'll turn out, then I know for f'n sure it's not in the best interest of the players for the show to go live...and then turn into a cluster shazaam.

I'm not willing to take money for something that isn't going to be worth it. That happens far too often with game promotion. BSP/BSG just won't do it.

I know Chesty was talking about putting something together as a back up, as he and I have already been in PM contact concerning this cancellation. That is what Ill attend in the event it does go live.

Again, I apologize for cutting the strings on the show this late, but I did quite a bit of soul searching and reworking of the mission templates and gameplay mechanics and honestly it would be a completely different game than advertised...and that'd just be lame as shit and lieing to you guys.

We'll reset this event for later on in the year. Instead, Adam and I are already in the process of prosecuting a very promising lead for another BSP Challenge (CQC/CQB/Team Mission event).

Again, I apologize for any inconvenience and hope to see you when we reset later on this year.

Sorry to hear that, I was looking forward to this. You do know what you're talking about though, but I think people would have been wiling to shift teams to see that this went off as you had planned.

Oh well, I hope to attend the next Black Sierra game, then.

I am disappointed, but the idea of going to my first BSP Challenge outweighs that :)

I'm glad you are dedicated to hosting not cluster fucks. I think I would have turned my replica on myself if I had gone to another so called "OP" and not a legit game. ;) I'm looking forward to the final product Bill.

Wow! Sorry to see this event get canceled...I know a great many of us look forward to "Bill" OPS.

That being said, you're doing the right thing. If you feel the game is in danger of not living up to your expectations as the promoter, chances are good it will not meet the communities expectations either.

For whatever reasons...do whatcha gotta do man! We'll be here when the next one comes around!! BSP events are always at the top of my list! 8)

I'm glad you guys support the decision. I hate having to shut it down, but the last thing I want is to see people walking off the field saying "that wasn't even close to what I wanted from a BSP event".

I'd rather eat a few prop costs, then spend the reputation currency we've earned over the last several years with a sub-par event.

Again, Im sorry for the inconvenience.
