We should go back to the chocolate chip camo!

This is my favorite desert camouflage.

Nice to see the Army is coming around to what the Marines figured out earlier: different camo for different environments.

THIS.

ACU sucks. The ABU pattern is awesome, but since it's the same cut as BDUs, it's unnecessary.

The only new pattern I think is actually good is the new Navy stuff, just because they can get their uniforms dirty and it won't show as bad.

The NWUs? Are they actually good?

Oh, I thought they were something like ACU-cut.

I wear NWU's every day of the week eight hours a day, and they are very comfortable to work in. The only ACU cut attribute is the pocket on both sleeves. We roll up our sleeves differently so that they can be pulled down quickly in case of fire or general quarters. I love them, I can get away wearing a set for a few days and still look professional and clean.

I am right in front of a vanity mirror, so there's a lot of artificial light. That is how you wear the cover, so that the top is flat and the brim of your cover is right in front of your eyes. It comes down to how your head is shaped.

Great water camo. Looks like it'll blend in really good if you fall off a boat. ;)

The problem is that Afganistan is not only mountainous. It's great if ACU works in the mountains but if it craps our in the fields or in the city's it will be no use either.

If our NWU's turn orange how do we wash them? Please don't answer that question.

I was under the impression that seawater changed the color so that crew that fall overboard would be easily seen. Maybe this was just a concept they were screwing with and didn't actually produce, but I know I saw it somewhere. My mistake.

Anyways, ignore my statement then and carry on with the thread.

I wear my patrol cap the same way, but it isn't as high on my head. Eh, whatever, it looks like your cap is a different design to mine so that's probably it.

It's the 8-point that's causing it Nasty. If you look at it carefully, even when I was working on Sigonella, I noticed the same thing, they look higher and look funky when compared to the "traditional" patrol cap.

Some people look better in the Marine style Patrol Caps, and some people look better in the Army Patrol Caps. It all depends on how your dome is shaped. If you're lucky, you join the right service to look sexy.
