Haha, good game... Especially fond moments of the grenade blowing up within a foot of me, and then brian falling on his back!

Certainly. There is a lesson to be learned here.

I had dispatched one of the defending force by lobbing a citric acid/baking soda bb grenade (commercial model) into a shed housed by said opfor.
Kudos to the victim for honoring the kill even though the grenade failed to detonate. I was killed a couple minutes later and enroute out of the village I retrieved the un-expended round. At this point at least 7 minutes had expired.
On the way out I came across the lad I had killed with the frag and stopped to bench race. I explained that he had been my first frag kill and complained that the little bastich was supposed to have detonated. I held the holy hand grenade of Antioch aloft and exclaimed, "look at these stress marks!" and BOOM! Three of us in a three foot circle stared into the lovely shiny object as it detonated and shot forth a blinding blast of white and an accompanying ring of bells.
A quick count of fingers yielded good news and all involved returned to vertical postions intact.
Exclamations of a colorful variety were spout forth followed by laughter.

It was a good 10 minutes from the time the plunger was depressed to the time it detonated. Luckily we were still in the hot zone and had our eyes on.
This is a reminder of why we wear eye protection and have safety rules that require this protection in the hot zones.

No harm, no foul. We have been blessed with a bloodless lesson. Wear your safety equipment always.. It may mean the difference between a laugh and an eye patch.

My thanks to the host. As usual the event was GREAT!. A big THANKS to the Returning 2 tour's in IRAC "New found Friend". Your quite a guy Going back for a 3rd. Thanks from the Community. :D

I spent most of the day in the creek bed. Crawling in the MUD eating furns, working my way through the layered town defences.
"That was fun"Only to get head shot 10' from the tower. ( getting closer each time) :)

The town has a weak point. No. 5 RAC will find it. The correct thing to do is fall back and call in a air strike!. Have a beer and watch the town burn. That makes for a short game ( no fun )

See you next time on the field. One of the old farts. ;)Image

Let's get it done!

Definitely had fun.

We really were switching around weapons like mercs. First my friends M15A4 crapped out, so I let him use my MP7. Someone (Templar?) let us use three MP7 magazines. I let Millwe use my M14 and interceptor, then sk8erking let me use his Sig. We got the M15A4 working somewhat, and Millwe wanted to use his scope, so he let my friend Robby use my red dot on his M15. The scope wasn't zeroed, so it wasn't working out. He put the red dot back on, and put the scope in my buttpack.

Then one of the new guys had his gun die, so I let him use my MP7. Then Silent let me use his GR16, and I let him use the Sig. Next round we switched back. After a few rounds, the MP7's battery died. I was dead, so I let him use the Sig.

Great fun trying out all the different platforms. Thanks to everyone that loaned me stuff.

i would like to personally thank those of you who showed up for the games.some of you made A long trip to be there. i especially want to thank the leader of the No. 5 R.A.C. for showing outstanding character when outstanding character was nessecary. The games were simple and nothing we haven't played before but that keeps the bullets flying. Maybe next time i host, if there is a next time for me, i will get a little more creative. And i want to thank everyone for coming out on short notice. We put this game on in honor of a returning vet, Jerimiah Henry, who's platoon exploits in iraq is already in print and they are currently making a movie as well. And p.s. no recruiting the henry brothers as they are card carring Team Terror members! STAY OFF MY KOOL AID MF'S!!!!

Yeah, the town does have a weakpoint... and I know where it is. I'm pretty sure a bunch more of APST know where it is too.

actually, it has 2 weakpoints, but you have to know how to exploit them.
