Need help choosing a Glock Springer

Postby galenorama » Mon Jun 21, 2010 4:44 pm

[I didn't see a forum for Springers, so I posted here, admins, if I screwed up, I apologize in advance.]
I am looking for a Glock spring pistol at or under $30 I want a glock because of their simplicity, and they look BA. I have heard a ton of different things about which is is the best, and I have heard lots of great things about the KWC one, which sounds great, except I can't find one anywhere. Here are the other models I am looking at, if you have any experience, or just know which is better, let me know! Thanks in advance.

TM G17 HGHU$31 Looks nice, but is a bit pricey when shipped.

CYMA P827 $16 Mediocre, but cheap. Low FPS

HFC G17L $16 Looks ok, maybe nicer than CYMA? I don't know.

UHC G17 Heard good things, but can't find anywhere online.

KWC G17 Same as the UHC, Heard good things, but can't find anywhere online.

Thanks again! If any of you know where to find some of the items that I don't, links are also very appreciated. (Or places to buy cheaper than what I listed!)

No ones going to help you in buying a springer. save up and get an AEG or Gas gun.

I'm sorry to be harsh, but the irony of your statement is too great to overcome.
First of all, I already own a decently nice AEG.

The irony, however, comes from your signature.

While I agree in that it is a good idea to purchase an AEG, the exact reason I would like to purchase a springer is because I want to Stay in the Backyard, as you put it. However, when playing with individuals who, as I do, own an AEG, my backyard quickly becomes too small, which, as I say above, is why I am attempting to purchase a springer.

Simple as this:

^Do the same with all the other springers and you can make an educated decision.

Thank you, and I did google all of the guns before posting. But the key thing I am looking for is not a review of the gun, but a recomendation of which is better compared to the other available Glock replicas. That is nowhere near as easy to find. All of the "Which Glock Springer" forum threads conclude that the best gun is one of the models that is no longer produced. That is why I posted, and I am sorry for coming off as a unappreciative of your suggestions.

I unfortunately don't have any constructive advice or references in respect to your search for a good Glock springer, but I wanted to commend you for your courteous, reserved, and mature nature in response to Cap n pickles, who has a long history here of acting the contrary. His post was unnecessary and in bad taste.

You've shown leaps and bounds more maturity than I have come to expect out of people your age. Best of luck in your search.

Edited for grammar.

+1 to Karma.

Galenorama, I don't really have anything to say about springers, but I will point something else to consider...

I know you're only 14, but if you can save up the money and buy the CYMA electric AEP glock. They're about $50, but you might be able to find a used one for cheaper. They're pretty decent for the price and have both semi and fully automatic capabilities. That or save your money even more and get a GBB.

Not to dis springers at all, but if you have any intentions to go to one of the bigger airsoft games, an AEP or GBB will be a more useful side arm than a springer, and there fore would be worth the extra money. Plus, the blow back on GBB's are pretty freaking cool... :D

I was about to recommend an AEP as well. They're pretty low powered too, and the Cyma ones I've heard are pretty decent. For the price, at ~$50, it's not much more than a "high quality" TM springer.

I'll have to recommend the CYMA one because I have a couple of CYMA guns and they never let me down.

Any FPS works with me, within reasonable limits. I don't know of any springers (pistols) that shoot greater than 300 fps with 0.2 bbs. And as for the lower limit, as long as it is decently accurate, that is fine. Thanks for your help and understanding.
