My rankings for patterns to wear outdoors here in the Pacific Northwest forestry land are as follows:

1. MARPAT. Blends in with tree trunks AND most types of brush.

2. Faded M81 Standard Woodland. WTF you say? Yes, it works extremely well. Most people don't think so because usually it's used by newbies who don't know what they are doing and it's BRAND NEW. You gotta break it in.

3. Tiger Stripe. If you wear the dark stuff in the winter and the light stuff in the summer you will disappear.

4. DPM, FLEKTARN and anything else not BRIGHT like...

5. CADPAT. A little bit too bright for my taste, but during Spring months and in green brush it can be very effective.

6. MULTICAM. Too brown-based for most Pacific Northwest terrain. Good for late summer but most MULTICAM players are given away by all of the various mounted gear they have including the kitchen sink.

Of course, having face paint on and a painted gun also helps. And this may be a given, but your LBV should match.

I agree. The Fragistan commandos have got the right idea. They really know how to rock the O.D.!

They're just out there to have fun. So am I. But you're right, I do think ACU looks pretty sweet. I don't think blending in perfectly matters. I always end up shooting the people on my team when they're hidden and I see rustling. The main point of camo is for identification.

Actually OD is a good choice. When the Army was testing for a "universal pattern", they found that OD was the best all around pattern.... While it wasn't the best in every enviroment, it worked in all enviroments.

Camouflage isn't worn for identification. If that was it's purpose, it be made of bright red and yellow colors.

edit: More players need to learn target identification.

Agreed, I was actually thinking of going for a loadout based off of an army ranger. (Please, Im not a codnub, that is just my personal preference.)

That is kind of my basic outline of what I want. I think Im going to get OD gear so I can at least wear that with a few other camos...

And if you would like to believe this go ahead but i, on the other hand, will pay attention to how i am acting to others and around others so as to present my self in a MATURE manner. And in addition to this the fact that you LIED about your age shows that your scared people will look down to you because your younger but if you try and act your age or preferably OLDER then you will be respected...like Juicemachine.

But on topic: ACU looks good on rocks and gravel roads. CAMO is made for different scenarios. And to those who get all bent out of shape because ACU doesnt blend, who cares? Just dont stand near them and if they are on the other team it's an easier target to see. We are just trying to have fun.

Nope, dont assume things dude... I just put 1980 because on some websites/forums there is extra info for minors to fill out

Oh, so what your saying is you're not a liar, you're just lazy.

Yeah, that's what he's saying. In reality, he's a lazy liar.

WAR made DCU's sexy at CE1. Seemed everyone and their mother wanted a pair after that.

Where what you want broseph. Field craft goes further than camo.

In my own opinion, camouflage is as only good as the wearer. For instance, at a local op last weekend, I damn near stumbled on someone who was wearing UCP's while he was laying in the grass, however the MARPAT and other patterns people wore stood out like a sore thumb.
