"The ACU Argument"

Postby FunkyDoucheMan » Sun Jun 20, 2010 7:23 pm

Okay, I know that acu gear is pretty much impractical for woodland.(And most areas for that matter!) But I went ahead and bought acu gear anyways, because IMO I think it looks the coolest, I only did this because most of the guys on here were telling me that camo doesn't matter too much at all with the range of engagement in airsoft. So that actually gives a valid point for people who want to base their loadout off of acu. (Im not defending any codnubs that go "TROLLOL IM WANTA BE LIKE RAMIREZ AND ARMY RANGRS XDXDXD")

So there, a reason too buy acu. *Raises flame sheild*

Camouflage plays a very big part in this game. There are times when I've had people walk 5 feet from my position and not see me whatsoever. While this could be chalked up to player ignorance, I'd like to attribute part of it to camo patterns.

Agreed, some of it does contribute to the camo pattern, it could also apply to where EXACTLY you hide. You could wear a neon green jumpsuit, then dive in a hole with some leaves over you and be hidden fairly well. Another aspect camo does count toward is long distance spotting/sniping.

in the northwest, I don't really know if a pattern like MultiCam is a huge improvement over ACU/UCP.

At FW3, I remember seeing some UCP guys in the shade before the game and the pattern didn't jump out in the least. In the sun though it did. Same with multicam.

I wear whatever I want. Sure, I may be slightly more noticeable, and I may get shot, but I also shoot other people in their green-based patterns just the same.

AIRSOFT IS A FASHION SHOW BUT CAMO DOES PLAY A PART AS WELL. REMEMBER ALL THE CURRENT US CAMO IS BASED ON LOW LIGHT OR NO LIGHT SCENARIOS REMEMBER MOST OF THE MISSIONS WE RUN ARE @ NIGHT ACU AND MULTICAM AND ABU DO NOT SILOUETTE. SO IN A SENSE IT WORKS IN THE NW. CAMO MAINLY DECIDES WHAT SIDE UR ON. SO WEAR WHAT U WANT IF YOU WANNA BE A RANGER GO FOR IT!

Yes, also (I hate to ask multiple times) After I get my acu gear and some midcaps I can just show up to any events on the calender right? (after i read info, rules, etc.)

EDIT: I know you think Im probably a little fag kid but im just yet 15... So my parents have to drive me to the events. :? Also, im 6'2" and mature, and experienced with airsoft. So you dont have to worry about a little munchkin sized nooblet running around

Sweet. Now that we've established that please fix your grossly misrepresented age.

Thanks in advance,
