How was it unfair? While I'll admit I noticed a couple of issues that I personally identified (where I could have done something better for the event as a whole) I can honestly say without a doubt that the NG and Survivors were balanced.

It was just a problem with communications and knowing what to really do. I had no idea what to do for both rounds of the game and same with my teammates. We had 18 guys at spawn and the commander told us to just get out there but we didn't know what to do other than defend the city.

For the second half we wasted time attacking the city and found out that we had to collect explosives after wasting so much effort on taking part of the city. After collecting explosives we weren't sure how we were going to get them in. I suggested to my friend to just go on a suicide run since time was running out only expecting just my friends to follow. Sadly 12+ guys came along for the ride since there were no orders.

I have to say that this was the best op I have ever attended. Not only was the field great, the game itself was intense with clear cut objectives. This was the most fun I have had in awhile. The admins did a great job on the field, glad you guys were there :)

Infected - you guys were like roaches, lol. No matter how many we put down more just kept coming and coming.

Survivors - you guys did an awesome job holding that village the first round.

NG- great teamwork! Would roll with any of you again.

Thanks for the great game!

Sounds like a command issue. Next one will be easier incase there is command or communication issues.

I don't know if making it easier is the solution. On our side, we knew our objectives and I actually had team leaders wanting to know what the next one to complete was. I had to say several times, "There are no more! We got them all!"

...and we didn't care about winning.

Maybe make the location and/or goal more plainly put, but if a bunch of infected who didn't care about winning can complete their objectives, I don't know if making it easier is what you want to do. As you said, maybe a command issue on their side?

We were given this prior to the game.

Missions:
National Guard:
Primary: Terminate all survivors and infected
Secondary: Proceed with coverup and destroy any evidence found. Complete non-public missions (will be discussed at mission briefing before game and/or added in-game)

Infected:
Primary: Kill everything
Secondary: Disrupt the National Guard and Survivor progress through game.
Complete non-public missions (will be discussed at mission briefing before game and/or added in-game)

Survivors:
Primary: Survive. Attack. Hide
Secondary: Gather intel to reveal to the world the cause of the mystery virus. Complete non-public missions (will be discussed at mission briefing before game and/or added in-game)

Everything required discussing/briefing before the game. I recommend making sure its top priority that everyone is briefed and gets the proper info before beginning.

I am not sure how its like for infected but it says disrupt whatever it is that survivors or ng had to do but the thing was survivors didn't know what we were suppose to do.

I recommend next time, if we want it to be classified objectives to have the list of objectives printed out on paper and distributed during briefing so we know what we are suppose to do in case of a problem with command.

umm.. you were given briefings before you all went out before phase 1. you were to hold the city and protect key assets (given in briefing) and was explained that your specific missions would given to the commander at specific intervals so he could decide how he wanted to plan your attack.

second phase it was explained that you would be doing things opposite of phase 1. what you were guarding before is what you would be attacking now.

I did not want to give you everything up front. This was done on purpose.

Your wanting to put this blame on me but everyone was given basically the same briefing and some adjustments were made to balance the numbers out va respawn rules. I'm sorry it turned out different for you than others. but next time I will work on how to make things clearer.

Communications during war fails at times, this is part of the realism aspect.

However I suggest to you that next time you are playing and having a sense of confusion or feel like your not getting whats going on then pull myself or one of the admin aside and explain to them your concern. We are not there just to make sure people are following the rules, we are also there to help ensure that the game runs smoothely and any issues are resolved.

I saw ur scarf on the gravel road right down past the village. idk if anyone picked it up however.

Someone took it. We were walking and this guy in marpat picked it up off the ground thinking it was his and when he realized it wasnt he decided to keep it.

I should'nt have brought somthing I cared not to lose I guess but it was a nice shade of red. It's a fairly old Boy Scout neckerchief and I'd buy it back if someone wanted to ransom it. That said I'm glad it's not going to rot in the woods.

Stealth R,

Dude, from my side, this comes down to a communication issue on your side. Don't blame Riddick for this. As a CO, the admins provided me with info/objectives and answered my questions when I had them. Hell, sometimes I thought Vidar had a crush on me, he was so close. Granted, guys got sent on a false objective once, but that was my fault--I misheard coordinates on the radio.

Seriously, any infected--if you felt like you didn't know what to do at any time during the game and that feeling lasted for more than 5 minutes, please send me a PM. Especially if you felt bored or otherwise not having a good time. Include as many details as you can so that I can remember the time. Reloading mags doesn't count.

I was on the survivors side, communication seemed perfectly fine, I knew what was going on, and what the objectives were.

Stealth, maybe you didn't listen well enough? ;)

Speaking from an admin point of view I made sure I relayed information in a timely manner to the NG commander. I also made sure that I went over the objectives again at the spawn points while waiting for the kick off both times. I was given the tools to help make this a successful event and did everything I could to facilitate this if anyone feels I shorted them please let me know. I can say Cape thoroughly briefed his team leaders in addition to my briefings and kept things flowing smoothly amid the chaos which I should have acknowledged in my initial AAR as he made it look easy.

As a team leader for NG, I was fully briefed on the objectives and what needed to be done and if there were any questions on the objectives the Admin's were more than willing to provide any information needed. Anyone who claims that they did not know what was happening could only be because of not paying attention (which I did noticed was happening at the main briefings as people were too busy talking amongst themselves) or team leaders not relaying info correctly (the latter just being a suggestion because all the team leaders I knew made it very clear what their team was to do). Just my humble opinion but Ridick did a great job of making the gameplay and rules clear as he does with every game he puts on. Sadly if any blame should be laid it should be on the person or persons not paying attention to breifings. That being said, once again this was an awesome game and if anyone wants to blame the admins or Riddick for not breifing the troops is a fool.
