501st Presents "The First Freedom Skirmish."

Postby Lester » Mon Apr 19, 2010 12:00 pm

On Saturday, June 19th the 501st Airborne is hosting another skirmish. It squares off the Russian Spetznaz and the US Army Rangers in an all out duel to find the best… and the worst. Below is a basic rundown of the event.

Where?

501st Airborne Field, "The Favela."

201 Peter Hagen Rd NW. Seabeck, WA 98380

When?

Saturday, June 19th, 2010

Duration:

Event Opens: 10:00 AM

Team Briefings: 10:30 AM

Game On: 11:00 AM

Event Ends: 6:00 PM

Mandatory 6 Dollar Entry Fee

(2 Dollars for 501st Airborne Members)

DMR FpS Limit: 450

General FpS Limit: 400

The event is based off of one of the generic Russian vs. United States situations. This is still a skirmish, mind you, but we still want to give players something to fight for. Teams will be identified using colored duct tape wrapped in 3 bands on visible parts of the body. (2 on the left arm, one on the right, etc.)

Spetznaz’ duct tape color is red

Rangers' color is blue.

(Duct tape is provieded.)

To ensure that spawn killing is not a problem we are incorporating medics into each and every round, medics are allowed only a semi automatic handgun or (god forbid) spring pistol. To revive a player, medics will tie a respawn ticket onto a player, when the player is back in they must yell ‘BACK IN.’ When the medics run out of respawn tickets, your team loses.

At the event a packet will be passed out with an extended amount of information about how the game will work. Info included in this packet will include the games playlist, rules and other important info.

There are no other prerequisite for this event besides paying the 6 dollar entry fee and being over the age of 13.

Hope to see you all there.

Instead of colored duct tape , why not different shades of camo for both sides?
Russians in Dark camo
Americans in Light camo
Or even better , Russians in Russian/Soviet camo , Americans in American camo.

Because that may cause an uneven number of people on the teams. With simple red/ blue tape it saves everybody money and is a lot simpler. ;)

Juice is right for my reasons of using colored duct tape, spot on actually.

All Automatic guns (gas or electric) can shoot at or below 400 FpS. But we won't kick you out for having an AEG with 410 FpS... people will just look at you funny, jk.

We host games once or twice a month. We do have a website if you want to keep even more up to date with our events: www.501airsoft.webs.com

Thanks for the replies, hope to see you there!
