How is this a custom project? Are you building it from scratch? (bad idea by the way).
It's a $20 vertical grip. Experiment.

Not sure what you're looking for. It's a vertical grip, doesn't really have a difficult job to do.

If someone does have experience, they'll likely respond. That said, G&P is a reputable company that makes quality products; I'm confident they can accomplish the three things this grip needs to do:

1.) Not break
2.) QD stays still and tight (a.k.a not break)
3.) Battery compartment actually fits batteries.

If you're willing to spend $20 for those features, go for it.

This actually has three acceptable subforums. AEG/Electrics, Gas Pistols & SMGs (which should be renamed), and Tactical Equipment.

Don't worry about it, this thread has a single purpose and won't spark discussion anyway.

I have a chinaman version of one of these and it works well. The only slight problem you might have is if you Magpul grip it, the QD lever can hit your hand.

Flip it around?

EDIT: Pictures are kind of vague, but I guess it looks like it may be contoured to only go one way comfortably. :(

Its gonna happen either way. If you don't Magpul grip it, then its not a biggie, but if you do...

I guess I'm confused as to what "Magpul gripping" really is then.

It is indeed, Ben its grabbing the rifle way up by the muzzle. In the real world its supposed to "stabilize" your shot so you shoot where you are pointing at, but in airsoft its just a clever ruse to turn airsofters more gay then they already are

I hit the lever with my ring finger if I'm holding the gun left handed, and it hits my palm if I hold the gun with my right hand. Your gonna end up hitting it no matter which way the lever is pointing/what side its on. But like I said, its only an issue if you grip it like I've shown below ;)

That's what I thought you meant by Magpul grip.

It hitting your ring finger doesn't seem like that big of an issue, but then again, I'm only judging that by looking. :|

It does have rather sharp edges, but if you get the non QD version than its a non issue. Or if your the kind of person that puts a vert grip on, but always end up grabbing it by the magwell, so the vert grip just sits there unused.

If you're gonna hold your gun that way you might as well get one of the F.A.G's (AFG)
