Things you do before a game.

Postby Tactical.Monkey » Sat Jun 12, 2010 7:41 am

ITT: post the things you do to get ready for a game.

Example of myself:

1. I have all my gear laid out so that I know i have everything.
2. I wear my camo when i driving to games even I'm doing the camp out.
3. I bring lots of stuff i wont need but there is at least a .01% chance ill need it.

Those are a few things that I do before a game. Now post yours here.

I masterbate and get a triple shot of expresso.

I never load my mags because I will have time to do that while everyone else is breifing.
I make sure my Batteries are discharged so when I run around asking if anyone has a charger I can borrow It will be for good reason.
I Put my 300,000 rnd case of bbs in my closet so I wont forget to "borrow" some from a buddy when I get to the field.
And whatever I do I NEVER test fire my gun, There will surely be a veteran player there that would rather fix my shit that actually play if I whine enough.

Yup thats about what I do. Just like 99% of other airsofters.

1. I like to charge my batterys for my com gear so its in working order and have a spaer set of batt. just incase.

2. for road trips, everyone who rides with me stays at the house the night before we leave, with all their gear loaded in the truck. (Becuse someone is going to sleep in, have his phone on vibrate. no one knows where he lives, he has all the teams tickits and hasn't packed yet)

3. always carry extra eye-pro

I pretty much show up ready enough that I could slap the battery into my gun and be ready to go. Mind you the gun is in a case in the back. I don't like all the time between everyone showing up and starting the game. I'd rather stand around with nothing to do then rush to be ready on time etc.

The day of a game I turn my phone on vibrate and don't answer any text messages or phone calls from anyone I'm not playing airsoft with. I find my mind isn't on the game if I've been talking to a girl or talking about something other than airsoft. I also listen to classical music to calm myself down if I'm overly hyper. And like wise I listen to heavy metal if I'm overly calm/tired.

1.) I go to parties the night before an op and make sure I get ****faced
2.) I do not work out at the gym, do cardio, and get a good nights sleep the day before.
3.) I eat breakfast because obviously my crew is going to make me eat with them at some fast food joint again.
4.) I watch chick flicks and sad movies with talking dogs to get me in the mood of war.
5.) I make sure I have work that day so I can call in sick.
6.) I just take my gear and throw it into the trunk because I know my stuff is better than everyone elses and it will never break, also I am perfect like airsoft750 and always have my shit together
7.) I ask airsoft750 for advice every time I go to an op
8.) I make sure I take my time before meeting up with my group because showing up first is for losers
9.) I also forget to bring money and borrow my friend's

I spend years on the forums pissing people off so they want my blood.

Then I disappoint them further.

I charge my primary battery, my radio, any backup batteries, and my secondary's battery if I'm using it, in that order. That way if I forget to charge something I will at least have my primary up for awhile.
I meticulously inspect each piece of gear two days before (say, Friday evening for a Sunday game), prep them all, load all my mags, and put them back in my bag in the same order they came out in so I can find everything. If anything isn't ready I have two days to figure it out. Best part of putting it in order is you can gear up in the dark if needed. Not really important for airsoft, but fun to to on occasion.
Sleep the night before, preferably on the ground. I can't stand hotel beds.
Coffee the morning of an event so I'm alert, or tea for friendly games.
Epic metal the morning of to help me enjoy my day.
And the most important part:
Anyone who wants to borrow any of my equipment or weapons has to let me know at least a day ahead of time. If they don't then a) I get mad at them, and b) they don't get to use it because I don't put it in the bag.
Because I have everything ready I can be on the field in 4-5 minutes, which means I have an extra 10-15 to deal with finding my squad, getting briefed on my role, meeting the commander, or just dealing with people who didn't come prepared. One thing I learned at Grid 18.2 is that there are a lot of people who you end up needing to talk to the morning of.

This. Also pull a bunch of dated food from the shelf and eat it in the hopes it won't go through me like a laser beam at the game.

I believe the first sentence and I concur. The rest is humorous.
