Or do you folks have any other suggestions?

I need a single pin for a Motorola radio by the way...

Are you set on a throat mic? In my experience they have never worked too well, everything i said would be nonsensical and eventually Id just pull the plug and use the radio normally.

I had a decent headset for my old motorolas that I picked up at Fry's (I assume all motorolas are a single pin?) for 20 bucks and it worked well. I think it was this one-
