Irish army loadout

Postby Patrick750 » Tue Jun 08, 2010 6:43 pm

I'm trying to get a irish army loadout for more than obvious reasons and i'm using this as a reference.
http://www.62infantry.com/Weapons_Equipment/Equipment.shtml
i'm not going to get everything. All i'm going to get are the irish DBM's the PLCE webbing and the AUG. I need your help on finding irish dpm's and the PLCE webbing either in a local store or on a trustworthy site. i've already googled the hell out of the PLCE and only one set came up, i'm trying to an OD set. The set that came up was DPM. I just found out that the irish military uses another type of camo that would work in oregon called Curragh Shamrock camo. heres a picture-http://www.surplusandadventure.com/images/page/camouflage.gif

Surplus or used stuff is a plus!

I'M NOT GOING TO LOOK LIKE IRA!

What I already know-This will get updated

Well Its almost impossible to get there variation of DPMs as they will not sell it to the public and if you find it on Ebay it goes for over $200... as for PLCE I will try to find the site where I bought mine.
So... there I was....

Because the Irish Guard aren't really Irish, perhaps? And they come from the part of Ireland we all wish would sink into the ocean?

Yeah wasn't there like some Irish sniper or whoever that made a thread like this last year?

Yep there was, I remember first he wanted to do a Soviet loadout, and than he wanted to do an Irish Army loadout. If I remember correctly he got kicked off of here, and than was trolling on SA's forums website.

I'm not a huge fan of l85's. They just don't feel as well to hold then the AUG. I'm thinking of what to do, I think I just might make an all woodland loadout with gear similiar to the PLCE, Kevlar like helmet, and an AUG

$50-60 isnt that expensive...and that was a BIN. If you click "completed listings" you will see it going for significantly cheaper.

I'm a 14 year old 6 feet tall 130lbs kid. The irish DPM wasn't made for the public so i'm sure all the sizes will be for big irish men in the army.

I guess I'll make an American army loadout with european influence. But seriously... How awesome would it have been if I could've easily replicated the guy in the link in my OP?

I have noticed that the French pattern looks a tiny bit like the Irish DPM. Just giving you some options here.

Do whatever but I would do IRA, GSG-9, or S.A.S.
