the cold shot system used a 12 gram of c02 that lasted about 80 shots. there isnt a hpa or c02 tank small enough for your idea's you'd be out of gas before your 5th mag. i was working on a long drop leg where the tank and rig goto your right leg. instead of your back. if you ever fell backwards onto your tank. god does it hurt. that's what i get for trying to run across moss covered rocks.

I know The feeling, A little padding and a smaller tank will do you okay.

on c02 they cycle the same. with c02 you will need to clean the barrel about twice a year. on nitro/hpa you never have to clean the barrel unless you feel you got dirt in their.
