Actually I have bought from this guy before and I've been very happy with his service. However, this time I needed the 5.56 by next Thursday. I contacted him early in the week. Usually he replies right away but I didn't hear from him in a couple of days. I thought he might be out of town for something. So as a back-up I was looking for an alternate where I could buy something on short notice. Fortunately he contacted me on Friday. BBs will be shipped on Monday and I should have them on Thursday.
Overall I paid $12 including shipping which is an excellent deal. $4 for 10 round belt, $5 for small Priority Flat Rate Mail and $2 for insurance. Plus I gave him an extra dollar as a tip for replying back to me on the weekend and for shipping it out quickly.
Below, are some .50 & .30 (7.62mm) cal ammo I have bought from him. The .30 cal came with the orange tracer tips. On the .50 cal I painted the tips (
Black - AP Armor Piercing,
Silver/w Red tip - APIT Armor Piercing Incendiary Tracer.
The ammo and belt links always arrived in nice condition. The only issue I had was that I needed to adjust the size of some of the .50 cal ammo. Some were a little long and a few were a little short. For the long ones I just just took a hammer and a ruler and tapped the head in with a hammer until they were the right size. For the short ones I rapped the head with cloth and used pliers to gently twist and pull the bullet head out a little to the right size. It was very easy to do.
One note, if you want your ammo to stay shinny. Put them in a plastic zip bag and place them in a ammo can. This will prevent them from tarnishing. But if you ever need to shine them up, good old Brasso will do the job.
The .50 cal goes on my M2 .50 cal, 7.62mm on my M240 and 5.56mm on my M249
