How do I tell a CYMA G18C from a KSC/KWA?

How do I tell a CYMA G18C from a KSC/KWA?

Postby malik » Sat May 01, 2010 2:30 pm

I have been searching for a nice Glock17 or 18, my problem is i don't know if one is CYMA or KWA/KSC. What questions should I ask to know if it's really KWA and what should the answers be?

-
Please no answers such as...

Cymas are crap and KWAs aren't...
obviously I can not test the gun so I wouldn't know how it performs.

or
KWAs cost 5 times more than CYMAs..

We want 'em to know if they're gonna leave a bomb on the side of the road, first, we're just gonna blow up their little f**kin road.

CYMA Glock 18's are electric-powered, plastic, and non-blowback.

KWA/KSC Glock 18's are gas powered, with polymer lowers and metal uppers, and are full-blowback.

EDIT: Also, the CYMA ones suck, and the KWA/KSC ones cost 5x more. ;)

Thanks. How about all Glocks in general? Who else makes glocks besides kwa/ksc/cyma?

The CYMA G18C is electric.

There is a KWA knockoff made by a Chinese company, but you can tell 'cause the mags have shinier paint on them instead of an actual metal finish on the mags, and the paint on the slide is a little grittier on the china copy.

Are those common to encounter? What about trademarks? If there are trades(even if they've been painted over/sanded away) are they KSC for sure?

I found a few chinese glocks such as this one:http://www.gunnerairsoft.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=2&products_id=1004.

If I remember correctly, the first few chinese versions of the glocks had the trademarks Clock instead of Glock. The one I linked however, seemed to have correct, or at least more correct trademarks.

KWA/KSC's are gas while CYMA's are electric.

If you showed some pics of the gun you're looking at it may be easier for a glock "expert".
